  1. why didn't we go through? We have more goal difference than shaktar and same points, we both won one game against each other. Can someone explain me why we didn't go through?
  2. I'm disappointed but i accept it. what happened around the 18 minute mark when everybody started clapping and standing?
  3. Yeah! OR or we can actually not be like Manchester City or we can be like any other team in the world and stop buying players compulsively and start promoting our young players, but of course like 1/4th of our fanbase would leave to support any other top team. Support your players mate, that's the problem with a lot of Chelsea fans, they think Chelsea players are like toys "Oh look a player is under performing for one game, CAN'T WAIT 'TIL JANUARY TO BUY X PLAYER" (obviously the best in his position at the moment). Our players should not be seen as something that can be easily replaced, do you know how hard did Bertrand had to break his ass to get where he is today? He deserves the opportunity he's having, maybe he's not the best at the moment but he is at least learning and he has a great attitude.
  4. I am half spanish, I have a spanish passport, I support spain in the WC and EC. Yet it's getting tiring to support Fernando Torres too, yes, form is temporary, class is permanent. Fernando Torres is a world class footballer but he just isn't in it anymore I don't like giving up but it's enough. There are at least 10 world class footballers out there that would LITERALLY kill to be Chelsea's #9. Let's admit it Torres has won 3 of the most coveted prizes in football (EC TWICE) and he has been partially instrumental in these achievements. BUT let's be honest here for a second, Chelsea can't afford to have his striker miss out on important games. Drogba, for example, sometimes would disappear and score maybe 5 in 10 games but those 5 goals were instrumental, goals against arsenal and manchester united for example. We need to score in this games no matter what, we need a game changer #9. I'm not saying "yeah we're trailing 1 - 0 against Stoke, Torres better scores" I'm saying fuck Torres just tap something in, be in the area and shoot for God's sake.
  5. I just found my college essay, sorry for the double posting but I wanted to share it: 01/02/2010 Role Model John Terry, is the person that I can see me grow into, a man that has his foot on the ground, a leader, a strong public image that makes him be the captain of Chelsea F.C. and The England National Football Team. His Strong character and overall mental peace makes him my role model, he has made some mistakes in his soccer career but have overcome those errors with his personality and has not look back to be ashamed of those errors, but to learn from them and keep besting himself. He is one of the best leaders I have seen and I think that if everyone could see him as I do everyone could learn something from him, he is sometimes cocky but only to boost the team confidence as he once said “We're not going to write them off, they're a good team. But if we keep winning, there's nothing they can do.” this words of confidence makes the team feel better and win games. He also is a loyal player, he raised from the Chelsea Youth System and has been his whole career in the club. I would not be surprise if I see him in a couple of years as the team manager when he retires, he has such a great influence in the team, I could say he is there to stay for good I can not imagine him leaving to any other team, he has Chelsea in his blood since a little boy. One of his key abilities is to encourage the team in the worst situations to go in front and win games, other captains does not give that much of a support to their team mates and that is why they do not come out from the adversity and goes up in the tables. Most of all John Terry has influenced in my life in a very positive way, every time that I do something or I see myself in front a mental wall and I think I can not overcome the problem, my first tough is on this man and what would he say or do to overcome this and that gives me the power to overcome the adversity and keep going in my life and to never fear a thing and to keep trying to complete my life goals that are very important. This is why I see John Terry as my role model, an educate, strong personality and best of all a great leader with a unmatchable mental peace.
  6. Shit... I thought Terry was going to retire here at Chelsea... I was planning to actually go to what was going to be his last match in a couple of years... I wrote my college essay on John Terry, he's my role model, I wasn't expecting this at all... We will see come January...
  7. Please can someone explain what the fuck happened tonight?
  8. Please guys let's do a petition on one of those petition websites for Sturridge to start against Manchester United on Wednesday in the CapitalOne Cup and send it to the Chelsea Website at least we could get some attention ? If not he would at least acknowledge it somehow it will get to him and he will see that WE the FANS want him playing for Chelsea! I mean I love Torres but RDM and/or the board needs to give Danny a chancee!
  9. At some point the rotation will kick in, we cannot keep playing Hazard, Oscar and Mata every game. This is when we will see Marin and Moses, "the M&M", scoring and making chances because they are top class.
  10. Oh no! I'm not getting dragged into this argument... 2 words... Figurative Speech.
  11. So if Danny leaves... Who would be our CF if Fernando Torres decides to get injured? Lukaku recall? Pleasee Chelsea don't break the bank again if we have this talent on our ranks... or at least give him a chance until January.
  12. In Venezuela it is as follows for the 15 - 30 age range: 1. Barcelona 2. Real Madrid 3. Juve / AC Milan / Inter 6. Athletic Bilbao 7. Chelsea/ Man U / Arsenal / Liverpool / Manchester City As of International teams of course. I have yet to meet a Chelsea fan in Venezuela to be honest with you, I have met one or maybe two Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City fans because everybody is either a Barcelona or Real Madrid fan, well it's understandable as people don't actually watch football except for Champions League games and Clasicos to be honest. Some people are like me, religious with the games I rarely miss a Chelsea game unless I have class. Even though I ranked them at 8th there is a HUGE basque community in Venezuela who watch their games a lot, and an even bigger italian community that basically supports either one of those 3 teams.
  13. *Comment on how Frankie should be dropped out of the squad* *Praise Frankie for all his achievements* *Complain on how we need to improve our finishing* *Funny comment about how Anton Ferdinand is a high school drama queen* *Close by saying that Di Matteo needs to be given more time* I think this sums up how our posts should be on these types of threads.
  14. well at least he didn't go to ManUre who are looking to sell berbatov, if he had gone to ManUre I can see him doing us some damage. He's ok at liverpool I guess, it hurts but I don't they will do good this season either maybe a 6th or 5th finish if they buy the right players
  15. Oh and what about 35m Robinho that was a flop? oh yeah let's not forget about that... oh and 14m on Roque Santa Cruz? Sure they know what to buy... just this 2 makes a total of 49m which is 1m less from what we spent in Torres and well would you look at that he didn't make us won the UCL by himself but he helped get there... I have seen the Torres saga like a lucky charm, a lucky 50m charm... On topic: Oscar seems like a good buy we will have good rotations this season
  16. Well everyone can twist and see anything as they wish, but the main points stay. - Torres is not scoring what he is supposed to be scoring. - Torres needs a Xabi Alonso type of player in the midfield, someone who can find space and understand his runs. - Torres is not Drogba he can't power his way to the goal, he can dribble but he still needs THAT pass. - Torres has contributed to the team, even if you don't want to admit it, he has, he have been assisting and passing. Not his job but he has been helping in the scoring somehow. Who forced the corner in the Champions League Final that made us equalize? That's right Torres. Don't expect a player to fit in such a different system if he is not fit for it. I'm not excusing Torres' play, I'm just pointing out what's obvious.
  17. the daily fail... it gives hope but I don't trust it. I just trust di matteo will get it because he deserves it.
  18. That is football, just face it. Some international teams become better than others. Then there are some that stay regular like Australia they are regular/good but they will be for a long time until they start putting more effort into football than into cricket (they seem like a cricket loving country) and rugby. On the other side some teams get better, look at Venezuela they were utter shit 4 - 5 years ago and now they're playing waaay better they got to the semi-finals of the America Cup 2011 and will keep improving. Look at belgium breeding world class players when they were a easy match some years ago. Don't be running around showing off old feats when in current times the country you support didn't maintain its footballing level. It's like when a liverpool fan comes and tell any of us that they have more history and we will never achieve anything. Well times have changed...
