Eddie Newton said that Oscar is able to play in the pivot but hes not ready for it yet so Sneijder would maybe have been a good alternative for a while until hes ready. Also I don't think De Bruyne will play in the pivot, I think he will play in the 3 behind the striker as he did in pre-season. He'd could maybe play there though but I don't know.

Apparently Sneidjer thinks hes fit enough to play for Inter right now but Inter coach Andrea Stramaccioni believes his fitness levels aren't at an appropriate level, which has led to reports hes clashed with Stramaccioni and could be on his way out of Inter. Anzhi are apparently going to make a 25 million bid in January then Inter are going to try and sign Willian from Shaktar as his replacement. I think in general play Oscar has been a bit better, hes not afraid to do the dirty work in midfield. He gets stuck in more than Hazard (Hazard averages 1 tackle per game, where as Oscar averages 1.8 per game). Hazard does more with the ball like assists and chances created but Oscar keeps everything very simple and keeps the ball moving very effectively. I have no doubt Hazard is a better talent than Oscar but Oscar seems to work very very hard off the ball to try and win it back compared to Hazard who isn't as keen to win it back by the looks of things.

He actually reminds me of a young Mikel in the fact he has some talent but a fair bit to work on. Mikel was always giving clumsy fouls away, giving possession away and was very incosistant etc. Romeu looked similar to him in that games vs Manchester Utd and Swansea, also since the games under AVB he hasn't been great. He seems to take one step forward then two steps backwards in games.

Just depends. I think Joachim Low isn't the best manager to instill a "winners mentalilty" in the Germany camp tbh. Neither was Jurgen Klinnsman (probably spelt wrong). Germany need a Fergie/Mourinho/Van Gaal/Capello type of coach who has won major trophies, isn't scared of offending their players and instill that sort of mentality. If they were mentally strong and continued playing as well as they have been the last 10 years they'd win a major competition for sure.

I agree with you that we need to keep Romeu and the fact he might be better than Mikel by the times hes 25. Still right now Mikel is the player for us, he has been exceptional this season and long may it continue.
