Has looked not bad so far (albeit against much lesser teams) but throwing the term bargain & fans favourite around after 10 games is premature. But at the same time, no reason why he cannot be considered a bargain if he can continue pushing on as the fee was relatively low. Against Gent who sat back and wanted to counter, still felt Chilwell as an attacking left back would of made more sense but I guess the other facets of Veiga’s game, ie his tenacity, height and versatility is going to be more useful. Scoring a goal is going to inevitably make people get excited.

Cech also had a few howlers trying to play out under AVB.

Getting AVB period vibes from this team. Gonna concede so many goals but be involved in a lot of high scoring games. Brighton been awful defensively as well 😂

Difficult game this. Brighton have been very impressive under Hurzeler so far. Very good on the ball but the threat to counter them is there. If we show up, compete off the ball to a very high standard and press them well, creating good counter attacking opportunities then we can hurt them. For sure. Yes we want to be a massive possession oriented team but I think this Brighton team are very vulnerable to transitions so we have to be prepared to expose that. They were also the same under de Zebri.

Folk were very happy and acting as if KDH was an incredible upgrade because he was a technical upgrade on Conor, had “lit up the championship” and worked with Maresca previously 😂 I genuinely reckon he will be moved on in the summer irrespective due to poor performances or lack of minutes. Suppose we will see by the end of the season but said it at the start, was an incredibly daft move and stand by that. Conor’s start at Atletico - 3 league games, 2 goals and 2 MOTMs….

Yep very strange move. As said at the time, never an upgrade on Conor, yet people were getting giddy over a season in the Championship. He has been shocking so far, even in limited minutes, just looks miles off it.

First time seeing this. Stats are so bad. How can you have 70% of the ball yet concede 19 shots, 7 on target. Absolutely poor. Then look at ours 10 shots, 3 on target. Then touches in opposition box, again Bournemouth 32% possession, Yet more than us…. Got lucky today. Won’t get lucky every week with Sanchez pulling in a MOTM award. Barring a good period of the Wolves game we have been so up and down it is unreal and it can’t continue. Don’t get me wrong Bournemouth are a pretty half decent team but still.

Any game where Robert Sanchez is MOTM for us should spell out trouble. Too many mistakes and inconsistency again but 3 points is 3 points.

Keep seeing things about how players & coaches see quality or ability from him in training… If competitive football matches were decided in training, ok fair, but they aren’t and we hear it far too often. Yet see nothing on the pitch from him to back up these claims. Must go. No loan. Sell at a loss. Wasn’t at the level required when we signed him but also didn’t have a lot of experience in men’s football. Technically he is awful too, like really. Decision making also incredibly poor, wrong decision 3/4’s of time but if he had played another 100 games maybe be better - but again big maybe.

This is why you do not fuck about on deals for non essential signings like KDH, Sancho & Felix and get the players you actually fucking need. No top quality GK, CB or CF yet we’ve signed countless wingers and attacking midfielders. Thats 3 key positions that has been well known that we need top quality players in for the last 18 months. Anyone - and I mean anyone - who think Clearlake, Laurence Stewart & Paul Winstanley have got a fucking clue what their doing is beyond help. I mean are they waiting for Joe Shields to recommend ex Man City GK, CB & CFs….

Wont happen. His career is as good as over here although he should be involved in the squad instead of Disasi & that sunday league footballer Tosin 100%. The club will sell him off next summer for profit. Just not happened this window because nobody has stumped up the fee they wanted. Plus in the slim chance it did happen to take him back, I kind of hope he tells them to ram it after not taking him on the US tour and banishing him from first facilities, he deserved much better than that. No way to treat an academy graduate. No surprise now the PFA are looking at abolishing clubs bombing first team players to make them move now also. Get it for 2 or 3 guys but 10-15 players… another masterclass from Clearlake 👍

Obviously Chelsea sources are going to say its a good offer. They said the same about the offers to Mount & Gallagher too which were 1 and 2 year deals. Probably said the same about every other player who has declined offers here too. I quite believe we have offered the £130k p/w believing it to be a very good offer too. Without a shadow of a doubt…. If you were OshimenC you wouldn’t think we were that desperate to sign you with an offer like that. Piss take. Just give him £170-200k p/w and get it fucking done. We have lowered the average wage to 70k across the board one big signing isn’t going to bankrupt us or cause any huge issues fuck sake. Sancho on loan as well - stop fucking about. Dont need him. Try to offload some players instead of signing another winger.

The issue is (I get the idea of being patient with some players/ waiting to January or next summer) but this is a pivotal season - if we fall further away from the top 4 than to it then again the implications this has on the club financially are definitely going to make things more difficult. Not to mention again, the further we fall away the harder it makes it to make up the ground. I genuinely don’t think those guys are going to get the 20-30 odd goal contributions extra most would expect from a reasonable level of CF. The wage structure is one imposed by the clubs owners so ultimately if we don’t make progress due to signing players of lower quality or lower pedigree on those wages/not being able to attract the elite players - then it is on them. On a different note what the fuck are we doing going after Sancho…. when we have so many guys to get rid of maybe 10 off the top of my head at least. This club is bonkers. Like regardless of how Oshimen or Toney would do or what they’d cause - another winger over a number 9 is fucking mindblowing.

Lets be honest, I do get the point your trying to make but realistically we are going to get nowhere with a false 9. And the itinerary all summer has been to recruit a striker alongside Guiu. Oshimen and Toney not perfect by any stretch but both much better than Jackson, Guiu and playing anybody as false 9s. Jackson couldn’t finish his dinner and Guiu needs to grow into first team football. Be a painful season again. Saudi’s not fucking about though, agreed deals for 2 players, if Oshimen doesn’t go they get Toney or vice versa. Ruthless.

Nobody disputing that. Not at all. Do you think if we had offered him a third of that from the get go he’s be going to Saudi though?
