He is getting in the positions but keeps making the wrong choice 99% of the time. It is purely on him. This has been the same since we signed him. All well and good getting into positions but make the right decision… Time he squares it we nearly scored? Coincidence? Folk are now forgetting there is now a lot of competition here and a lot of players who could play in that role with ease and based off what we have seen so far, a more ruthless manager who’s not afraid to make decisions.

Someone seriously needs to pull that clown Madueke aside and tell him start passing instead of shooting at certain moments. Absolutely bang average player yet has the arrogance of someone who has achieved something major in the game. Yes he gets in good positions but then he has some sort of moronic decision making process where he thinks that him shooting is the only option. Has been the story of his short career here already. Put Neto or Nkunku on. Palmer out wide with Nkunku centrally.

But at the same time, no reason why he cannot be considered a bargain if he can continue pushing on as the fee was relatively low. Against Gent who sat back and wanted to counter, still felt Chilwell as an attacking left back would of made more sense but I guess the other facets of Veiga’s game, ie his tenacity, height and versatility is going to be more useful. Scoring a goal is going to inevitably make people get excited.

Difficult game this. Brighton have been very impressive under Hurzeler so far. Very good on the ball but the threat to counter them is there. If we show up, compete off the ball to a very high standard and press them well, creating good counter attacking opportunities then we can hurt them. For sure. Yes we want to be a massive possession oriented team but I think this Brighton team are very vulnerable to transitions so we have to be prepared to expose that. They were also the same under de Zebri.

Folk were very happy and acting as if KDH was an incredible upgrade because he was a technical upgrade on Conor, had “lit up the championship” and worked with Maresca previously 😂 I genuinely reckon he will be moved on in the summer irrespective due to poor performances or lack of minutes. Suppose we will see by the end of the season but said it at the start, was an incredibly daft move and stand by that. Conor’s start at Atletico - 3 league games, 2 goals and 2 MOTMs….

Keep seeing things about how players & coaches see quality or ability from him in training… If competitive football matches were decided in training, ok fair, but they aren’t and we hear it far too often. Yet see nothing on the pitch from him to back up these claims. Must go. No loan. Sell at a loss. Wasn’t at the level required when we signed him but also didn’t have a lot of experience in men’s football. Technically he is awful too, like really. Decision making also incredibly poor, wrong decision 3/4’s of time but if he had played another 100 games maybe be better - but again big maybe.

No top quality GK, CB or CF yet we’ve signed countless wingers and attacking midfielders. Thats 3 key positions that has been well known that we need top quality players in for the last 18 months. Wont happen. His career is as good as over here although he should be involved in the squad instead of Disasi & that sunday league footballer Tosin 100%. Obviously Chelsea sources are going to say its a good offer. They said the same about the offers to Mount & Gallagher too which were 1 and 2 year deals.
