Best appointment the FA could have got in all fairness. We all know what TT can do when it comes to big games and particularly in game management. Plus Tuchel cannot fall out with owners/chairmen/sporting directors regarding transfers like he did here, PSG or Dortmund. So maybe international football will be an excellent fit for him. Not really excellent news because Maresca is going to ask him to play as an inverted fullback - which he already did and struggled with massively in pre season. Talk about wasting a player of Reece’s quality.

Oshimen or Jonathan David to a much much lesser extent were the most logical ones. More proven and experienced. Even Ollie Watkins would’ve been a half decent move. Rushing around last minute trying to convince Oshimen to take a shite salary when we could had made such an offer weeks beforehand and then tried to compromise, was just sheer incompetence from the usual folk involved with footballing decisions. Wait and see in January or next summer we will 90% likely sign him. Which again will make folk wonder, why didn’t we do it beforehand?

Duran & Omorodion basically same as Jackson. Neither what we needed given we already had Nico and Armando. Needed a top CF, not another project. Imagine subbing of Jackson after a frustrating afternoon to throw on another frustrating young CF 😂 Duran scored a screamer against Bayern and some nice goals last season but still lot to prove, hence why he is a “super sub” at Villa and not their main man. Thats half the battle with Stewart & Winstanley, both have hard ons for u21 players only, when it is abundantly clear we need some established quality in the mix 👍

No balance in MF 😂? Liverpool have got the best defensive record in PL this season… only 2 goals against. You think they’d have that if they were hugely unbalanced in MF? Gravenberch has been very impressive for them. Looking as if he may be the player they needed in that sort of more defensive position. Enzo wont drop Enzo. Yep 100%.

Will be tough against both Liverpool & Newcastle in MF in all honesty. Both sides possess players with a good mix of physical and technical attributes. NUFC lined up with a 3 of Joelinton, Guimaraes, Tonali v Everton. Liverpool have got likes of Gravenberch (been standout MF player in PL for me so far), Mac Allister, Szoboszlai… plenty options - has worked so far for them. And we all know Enzo likes to vanish when the game gets extremely tight and more physical in there.

Not a bad run. Seems to be getting into a lot of good positions this season.

Because the footballing people at the club haven’t got a clue 👍 Yes its been a problem position that predates the new ownership group coming in (also for other clubs) but moving on CFs in the summer and not signing one is exactly what is wrong with the people making the decisions. I mean at the beginning of the season, genuinely counting on Joao Felix and Nkunku as 9s is desperate. It only took one moment but Felix showed exactly today why you can’t rely on him to be that ruthless player to decide competitive games where things are more difficult whilst Jackson has shown this alarming inconsistency for 12 months already. Maresca has a hard on for using Nkunku as a 9 also and not off the front or as a split striker in a pairing where he succeeded in Germany also. Why? Not sure. All in all, we got what we deserved today, could have won it with better finishing but also could have quite easily lost it if we didn’t have some moments of quality GKing from Sanchez (I am as surprised as everybody else). The timings of the substitution was piss poor by Maresca also. Should have made changes 15 minutes earlier after the goal.

Not surprised at what Forest are doing. Its 10 men against a team who are all about playing tippy tappy fancy football and lack a real combativeness and aggressive side. Sort of thing we would do with Jose. Maresca should of made his subs 15 minutes ago too, not sure what he was thinking.
