  1. Yes please! Since other clubs' garbage could walk into our first team
  2. It was 12m with 6m performance bonuses.
  3. Like I said, I do have hopes for Romelu, but at the time he is only good enough to be a sub at a club like West Brom, not Chelsea. My fear for him is that, despite getting some good experience that would definitely help him, I don't think he is improving his footballing abilities enough at the moment. Since he came here, his awful first touch is, well, still awful and his defensive work rate is still negligible. If he doesn't start working on those two things among other attributes, I fear his time at Chelsea will be very short.
  4. Alright let me bust the myth that Luiz played better than Mikel at DM because quite frankly I find that laughable. Even though Luiz was playing against a weak inexperienced side that put on one of the worst performances that I've seen by a PL team, his performance was worse than any of Mikel's in the past 2-3 years: 1) He gave the ball away too cheaply at times despite not coming under pressure from the Villa midfield. He had 12 missed placed passes in the game as compared to Mikel's average of 5-6 miss placed passes per game. That is 6 extra attacks for the opposition with our defense out of position. A better opposition than Villa and there is a good probability that we would have conceded after one of those misplaced passes. 2) On the notion that Luiz is better for our attack than Mikel because Mikel only plays "unimportant" sideways passes and doesn't "move with the ball": Luiz had zero key passes and zero dribbles against Villa. 3) Luiz was dispossessed 2 times (again despite Villa not applying pressure on our midfield) which is extremely risky for a DM because suddenly the other team has the ball and we probably only have 3 or 4 players behind the ball to defend. In 22 games Mikel has played at DM this season, he was dispossessed on average 0.6 times per game. 4) Luiz's positioning was terrible. At times his "sense of adventure" led him further down the wings than Moses and Hazard (although, tbf, his positioning in the second half improved greatly) and his movement showed that he often seemed to be thinking about how to go forward rather than cover for his teammates. 5) Mikel is on average dribble past 0.7 times per match. I can't find the exact stat but I am 100% sure that Luiz was dribbled by at least 3-4 times which along with his weak positioning refutes the arguments that having Luiz at DM would make us more solid defensively. Overall, Luiz had a good game but only for someone playing completely out of position. But if Mikel had a similar performance, he would probably have been chased by an angry mob with pitchforks! 5. Same here. I only got a cup of hot tea and cinnamon, although, tbf, my family is Muslim @Leif, I admit I was a little scared to click on this thread when I saw that you were the last poster here
  6. But considering he was one of their most important players, it does not seem to be good business to me because he could easily be the difference between them getting a CL spot or not which would bring them much more than a 3m profit.
  7. I do have hopes for Romelu, but let's be honest with our selves, the reason he is scoring atm is mainly due to his physical attributes and not his footballing abilities. And while there is nothing wrong with that ( a goal is a goal regardless of how it's scored) unless he improves his footballing abilities A LOT he won't improve enough as a striker because physicality alone won't get a you a role at Chelsea.
  8. Can't see it happening but it would be funny if it did. I have no idea what the kid is like but unless he is as good or nearly as good as Eden then he most probably won't make it here.
  9. And they will go and sell him a year later like they did with Van Der Vaart. Idiots.
  10. Welcome Petr. Hope you're enjoying TC. If you need anything, feel free to contact me or any other Mod/Admin. Stick around
  11. Won't be a holiday without a slightly racist humor, so here you go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tb83o2sZckQ
  12. I think it should have been a red cared for both: Williams for intentionally kicking the ball at his RVP and the latter for his reaction. But that kick being possibly fatal? Not a chance, players take much harder hits when they stand in the wall.
  13. Why did I just read through 2 pages of Torres vs Sturridge in the Falcao thread? Get back on topic, please.
  14. Actually thought he was below average yesterday. Got skinned too easily a couple of times in the first half and got a his positioning and decision making wrong a few other times forcing Iva to amend his mistakes. I also thought his passing in the first half, like all the rest of our team, was very sloppy.
  15. Said this a few pages back: Lucas is a great prospect but the worst thing we can do for him right now is rush his progress. He should stay the rest of the season here because he is getting all the experience he needs at the U21s and Nextgen series along with the odd first team appearance. Next year he could go on loan to the Championship and PL the year after.
  16. Is it confirmed? Last I heard he was a doubt.
  17. All opinions and members are valued the same here, no one is better than anyone else. This kind of talk is not welcomed on this forum. Who do you think you are to actually rate a fan?!
  18. Merry Christmas to everyone on this wonderful forum: I love you all guys! Well, not all but that's what makes you just like family
  19. Last page, I got it 3 times in a row. Yeah, it'll probably stop coming up in a day or two.
  20. In the hustle of all the broken records yesterday, we seem to have forgotten thet Oscar finally got off the mark in the league. Congrats to him! :cfc:
  21. I was talking about this season. If you are saying that Torres has been better than Danny this season, I wholeheartedly disagree. If you're saying that Torres has been better than he was last season, then that is irrelevant because Danny was still miles ahead of him. It's one thing to want results, completely another to only play big names even when you have better players who will get you better results on the bench.
  22. Agreed. I never said he was good enough, just that he was never given a chance which is even more baffling since our only other choice has been the biggest flop in football history.
  23. His weekly blog: http://blogs.grada360.com/juanmata/en/2012/12/24/navidad-de-goles/ So nice of him to mentions Lampard's achievement
  24. The malware warning is back. English Football thread this time.
