Brilliant finish. Reminds me a bit of Ramires' FA cup final goal vs Liverpool in 2012. Absolute rocket to the bottom corner.

Neuer actually did almost as well as Petr during the shootouts as well but 3 of the pens were unstoppable and the 4th a 50-50. Neuer get the plaudits because he technically he almost always executes everything from shot stopping, to footwork to positioning to movement to kicking to organizing...etc. almost to perfection. It's about as unanimous as it gets about him being the best in the world.

But arguable best of all, Daren Bent and Tom Huddlestone become world class in FIFA 09!
-
Juve is probably the toughest of the bunch, really hope we can avoid them. On the other hand I'd gladly take Roma.
-
LOL Asenjo was one of the best buys on FIFA 09/10 There were also a winger and a striker whom I always signed and who also went from late 60s to late 80s in a few seasons, but I can't even remember their names!

You mean yesterday? Never a pen. It was actually outside the box, and it was even Costa who actually brought him down. The contact with the Porto defender was minimal and he was clearly looking for it.
-
4. Kicking and ability on the ball 5. Organization of the defense 6. Reading of the game 7. Ability to rush and deal with 1vs1 That said, for me, Thibaut is clearly ahead of De Gea and with Neuer and Buffon in the top 3 in the world.
-
The contact is besides the point though. The point is why in the world would Costa intentionally leave his leg there to trip Casillas? Seriously, why? Can anyone just give any even remotely logical reason why? I just can't for the life of me understand.
-
Unsung hero. Thought he was superb yesterday. My MOTM after Matic.
-
Or more logically didn't expect the embrace and was surprised with hand to his face and tried clumsily to shake it. Eden is sooo not the drama type.
-
Had a good game but he's still missing that sharpness on the ball and taking that extra second to make his decisions. On the other hand, that move with Willian was probably the best piece of football we've played all season. Deserved to go in.
-
The only thing that was ever world class about Costa was his runs (and sometimes finishing). Glad he seems to have regained the ability to make those runs yesterday.
-
Would be happy with avoiding PSG and Juve. Should be able to handle the rest.
-
I second that.
-
Tbh you can have him tonight, he's been shite!

The Lebanese guy?

Tactically they've made terrible choices which has made us look a bit better than we actually are. Obviously wingbacks and no striker is an odd one, but even the way they pushed both wingbacks so far up basically just gifted us the second goal because we were always going to get several 3vs3 situations. Now, I just hope we don't sit back too low and invite pressure needlessly. Just keep playing like we have been since the start of the match and they won't score, certainly not 2.
-
Decent half considering how we've been playing this season. Don't think anyone has been particularly poor apart from Ramires. We've done really well in defense, but must keep our focus in the second. Can't afford any mistakes.

Our cunt

No idea who that Porto number 5 is, but he's been by far our best player so far!

I still want JT to actually play (ideally score in) and win a CL final No I was trying to say is that ideally we should not build decisions about management based on cups which are unpredictable. League goals are more achievable because over 15-20 games the anomalies are mostly smoothed out. I think it would be wiser to start making a decision on who should be in charge next season and start calmly planning our summer moves.
-
But we didn't get RDM or Rafa to win the CL or EL respectively, did we? We brought them in because we wanted to secure top 4 which was still an option at the time. Hiddink was brought in because we could still have won the league.
-
Still too soon
-
No guarantees things will improve instantly under a new manager. I think our chances are too slim to build any actions or expectations on.
-
At the moment, I would genuinely fancy our chances more against a Bayern where we'd have to sit back a la 2012 than against a EL team. Not saying we can replicate 2012, but I think our chance of winning the EL where motivation would be considerably less are even worse. How about Ballet dancing then? I'd pay to see JT in a pink skirt
