World class. Rarely thought I'd say this about Willian. But he undoubtedly has been this season.

Aside from a very nervous start, he did very well. Lucas got very little joy against him. Obviously still needs experience and to work on a few things, but this was a very promising performance.

Was good in the first half and played a couple of great balls in the second but we really needed him to get more involved in the second half and get on the ball but he just didn't. Also, you're one of the most experienced players in the team and supposedly the best passer in the team, don't give the ball away so cheaply in dangerous areas especially when the team is doing so much work to get it back.

Need to do better, especially in finishing. He wasn't asked to track back many times so you would have expected that energy to be save up to use on the counter and in winning headers...nope! And ffs he needs to get it through his head that he can't dribble. He's one of the worst attacking players I've seen at dribbling and yet he thinks he's the best dribbler in the world...

My MOTM yesterday. Showed his experience, imo. Was probably the calmest player on the ball and made some very good movements and runs. Was the only one able to retain the ball in that awful start we had and helped us many times break the pressure that PSG were putting.

Asleep for the second goal but it is undoubtable that he's so much better as a CB, because that's what he actually is.

The quality of the sides is obvious regardless of the result here, which is why a 2-1 home win, practically an even result is being considered by most people as a positive for us, because everyone expected PSG to get a more decisive outcome.

God, I despise PSG. beIN who share an owner or something with them having a wank over them as usual Reaaaaaaaallly hope we can shut the fuckers up. I think our best chance is to dominate the physical aspect of the game. Out power them in midfield, beat them with pace in attack. We should be in better physical readiness than them see as this is probably the third match in their entire season where they've actually had to show up.

Atletico have been constant contenders for the CL for the past few seasons (were literally seconds away from winning it in 2014) and Juve were in the final last season and one of the strongest contenders this season. What are you even talking about there?! Both Atletico, and especially Juve, have much better squads than ours at the moment and how likely a team will be to win the UCL in 5 years depends largely on how they are managed till then but they definitely have a head start advantage on us. Certainly in the next couple of season they are more likely to be competing for the UCL than us. It was especially weird to read you saying that Juve and Atletico definitely won't win the UCL in the next five years after just reading a comment you made in the PSG match thread saying that you think Chelsea could win the UCL this season!

Still, if it weren't for Matic's suspension we would have seen him and Mikel start together, so at the very least it is 'well disguised' from our manager...

No point worrying about missing players, we put out our best team. Matic's suspension for me is a blessing in disguise. No Mikel-Matic abomination pairing in midfield, no Cesc who can't press at #10 and (hopefully) no Oscar on the wing.

If his long passing keeps getting better with age as was the case with Pirlo he'd practically be unplayable in his thirties. Yes Newcastle gave him space, but the effortlessness in which he plays the perfect 60 yard pass is just ridiculous.

Costa put in a world class performance but Cesc.....is straight out of some video game when he is given even a little bit of space. Just unreal vision and long ball accuracy..

That was fun! Shame about the clean sheet, though. Really hope JT's injury is nothing major either. We'll need him vs PSG.
