  1. But that's the point. Intelligent people did agree with him. In fact half the world did. To say that all who supported Nazi Germany was unintelligent does not make sense because they included some of the best scientists, doctors, engineers..etc in the world. Good and evil only exist in cartoons. No one puts evil plans to destroy the world and does an evil laugh. Countries and people act according to beliefs that suite them.
  2. History takes the side of the winner, it always does. It's easy to say how morally repugnant Hitler's philosophy is but at that time each side was convinced in his own philosophy that was naturally valid to him.
  3. I think he can work with Mikel who is very disciplined defensively. After all Modric may not be the best defender but he decent defensively.
  4. A pivot of Modric and Mikel would work very well. It would be very balanced, good defensively and with amazing distribution and as Skipper said above, both can keep the ball very well. I had hoped he would flop at Madrid since day one so we could buy him from them. I'm actually sad he's starting to find his feet there..
  5. Don't think you can objectively judge those two, especially Hitler, now. Had they won the war, they would have wrote history and the biggest evil in history would have been capitalism, Churchill and Truman. PS: I'll reply to your long post tonight. I have some studying to do now.
  6. Brainwashing? He never had the power, at least in his beginnings, to brainwash anyone unlike ill. He's a common man who made it to presidency through a morning TV show! Even after he became president he didn't need to brainwash anyone because the majority of the people (the poor) adored him. When you give thousands of homeless people houses and an education they would have never dreamed of, they're going to vote for you. Besides, Venezuella has the most democratic elections in the world- Jim Carter's description, not mine. Candidates have the exact same tv and radio time to ensure equal exposure and two days before the elections, no one is allowed to speak the media or advertise himself to ensure that the people's choice is free. Heck even alcohol is not allowed to be sold a day before the elections! You want to see brainwashing? Switch over to FOX!
  7. It's just member of the month, mate! The point is just to get recognition. Being in that poll is just as good as winning it, imo.
  8. Just read a stat that in his last match for Bremen 10/16 of his crosses found it's target. That's just ridiculous!
  9. Very happy to see Skipper in the lead. I've nominated him a few times in the past and he really deserves to get some recognition. But I had to vote for Peace, he was just brilliant especially the last 2 weeks of the month. Pleasure to have you back here, mate.
  10. Go ahead mate but I won't be able to reply tonight, sorry.
  11. That's something to work on later, right now we just need to win the next few games.
  12. Drew an inactive team in the cup Time to get the development levels of my youngsters up!
  13. Yes but Mata missed the Boro game and is arguably more important to the team. I say start Hazard and if things aren't going too well put Mata on around 60mins.
  14. I just loved how Jose rubbed it in after the match saying the better team lost!
  15. Welcome to TC Meilka. Hope you're enjoying your stay so far. We have a very friendly community here, I'm sure you'll fit right in If you need any help, please feel free to contact me or any other mod/admin. Stick around
  16. I've heard two ex-international refs analyze the red card and both agree with the ref. According to the rules, endangering an opponent player is a red card regardless of the intention. Moreover, Nani did have a little look before jumping and knew Arbeloa was coming. Third, and for me this puts the red card beyond doubt, Nani actually extends his leg after he makes contact with Arbeloa intending to hurt him.
  17. I'd rest Azpi and one of Mata and Hazard but not more.
  18. They're trying to spell out "Interim" so it sounds like "Into him". We're not that into him.
  19. Yes I do know. As I said I have some idea about the situation in Venezuella, including the fact that no president has ever paid more for housing and education of poor people. The oil in Iraq was owned by the state as well. Anytime you want, mate.
