  1. That's why I said foreseeable future. Besides, Madrid already have Ronaldo and Barca have Messi, why would either splash out for Hazard if he does become a similar player to Ronaldo?
  2. Madrid offered Ronaldo much more than he was getting at Utd and made him the central figure of the club. They won't do the same with Hazard.
  3. Eden looks like a smart guy and I think he can see that for the foreseeable future his best interest is to stay at Chelsea. He is very well paid. He is constantly challenging for tittles and honors and he's a guaranteed starter. What else could he want?
  4. Alright, give me the Pringles you promised!
  5. Welcome to TC. Glad you like the look of the place. Stick around and I promise you'll like the community here even more If you need anything, please feel free to contact me or any other mod/admin Post away..
  6. Rami has 5 yellows and served his 1 game ban against Leeds.
  7. You mean the link on the first page? Anyway, I can't edit it either since it's archived.
  8. Lately? Manure have been shit and lucky all season!
  9. Tbh, I don't see a change of formation anytime soon, so we can rule out the possibility of signing someone to play along side Torres. Hernandez, imo, needs a system that utilizes old fashioned wingers and overlapping full backs with crosses being the main source of service into the box. We rarely do that. Mazacar always move centrally when we have the ball and leave the wings to the fullbacks. Their main threat is the fluidity in their positioning and exchanging positions. What we often do, when not on counter attacks, is ask for the striker to drop off and receive the ball which attracts the defender out of position. Then the striker gives the ball back to the first passer who plays it behind the out-of-position defender to someone who has made a run there. I have never seen Hernandez do that, in fat I have rarely seen him with his back to goal.
  10. Like I said, we're not linked with him. Still a great talent.
  11. Still, we haven't been linked with him and Liverpool have.
  12. Plays both, but is much better when playing deeper where he started his career, imo. I've been following him since he was playing for Germany's U19s. He's a very technically gifted player with great tactical awareness and passing skills. He is also excellent defensively. Quite similar to KDB.
  13. Don't think he will leave in Jan when he's available for free in the summer. Would be perfect for the pivot, but don't think we are linked with him.
  14. Just read that Holtby has confirmed that he will leave Schalke in the summer. Would absolutely LOVE him here. Great talent and perfect for the pivot. Sadly he'll probably end up at Looserpool or something..
  15. Cuntarito is perfect for Utd, and only utd in the PL, imo. All he has is his movement and strikers instinct in the box. He thrives on crosses constantly coming into the box and no one in the PL plays like that anymore except for Utd. He also doesn't have the physical ability to play as a lone striker.
  16. Refs don't complain because they know if they do they would probably end up refereeing in League 2 if they did.
  17. Rami is probably more mature than the other bunch. He, from his instagram account more like a family guy than a party guy.
  18. Does it even matter? His loan ends in Jan IIRC and he's still playing for the reserves to not risk his injury.
  19. It also seems to raise the "reported interest" in the player and with it the price, unfortunately.
  20. Apparently Oriol wants him here as well: http://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/english/2012/1227/360516-romeu-keen-to-see-villa-at-chelsea/?utm_medium=referral&utm_source=t.co Don't like when our players come out and talk about transfers..
  21. Here: You were clearly suggesting that Euros are more important and I was attempting to explain why they are not. No one is accusing you of being racist (at I'm not). I assumed that you though representing England was important, that's why I said that to Mikel, representing Nigeria is just as important. Internationals are no where near as important as Chelsea for me too, but I want our players to want to play for their countries, because if they want to play for money only with their clubs and not pride only with their countries then they probably don't have the passion for football needed to play at Chelsea.
  22. I actually blame Roberto and Ron Gourlay for taking Mikel with them to the ref's room. They must have seen him fuming. Don't even understand why anyone went in to talk to the ref, of course he was only going to deny it. Aaargh, makes my blood boil every time I think of how stupidly everything was handled. Let's just try and forget what happened that night.. @The only place to be, just because something isn't important to you doesn't make it unimportant in general. The ACON is as important to Africans as the Euro is to you; I'd even say more knowing Africans' obsession with football. It also receives huge interest around the world. It is every African's dream to be playing in it and trying to win it. Just ask Drogba who would do anything to do it. Representing England is no more important that representing Nigeria or Zambia or Lebanon and this is coming from someone who does not believe countries and patriotism. The ACON takes place in Jan because of the climate in Africa. And since they can't move the seasons, maybe the leagues should take a break in Jan and cut the summer break by a month? And without googeling, the last time around Zambia won it. It was very emotional because their entire team had a plane crash and died a few years earlier and this young team came out and fought against all odds and won, beating Drogba's Ivory Cost in the final after he missed a pen. Before that, I think Egypt won it three times on the trot; it was quite an achievement for them. The last of the three, they beat Ghana (or was it Nigeria?) in the final after Ahmad Naji "Geddo" scored a beautifully taken goal less than 10 mins from the end. Can't remember who the one before that was against, but I think Imad Mit'ib scored the winner. Before Egypt's three consecutive wins, Tunisia had won it at home IIRC. EDIT: Just googled it and I remembered everything almost correctly: Egypt did beat Ghana in 09, but Abou Treika got the goal in 07 not Mit'ib.
  23. Doesn't make sense. Surely West ham are paying a huge portion if not all his wages atm.
