Last season's preseason was an absolute joke and for me remains the main reason for our horrific season. Conte is doing nothing unusual with double sessions. Most teams do that in preseason, including us apart from last season. EDIT: Really shouldn't post before I read all the posts. Why would you want Ivanovic dropped from a preseason friendly? If he isn't in the plans of Conte then we're going to need to buy a new fullback. If he is, then at the very least I want him to be as physically ready as possible for the new season.

They wouldn't pay 30m for Cuadrado. They just paid more than that for Pjanic. In fact they probably wouldn't even pay 20m for Cuadrado and that has to do with how they view him based on his time there: A descent squad player. Good to have on the bench.

I did ask a Juventus fan. In fact, you can say I'm sort of in a 'constant communication' with one, seeing as I'm a Juve fan myself! Yes, they didn't have an option in the loan deal, but had they thought he was 'great' surely they would have approached Chelsea to make the deal permanent. They didn't.

Hold on, he wasn't "great". He had a couple of excellent games and a few awful ones as well. Overall he was average, which is why Juve didn't try to sign on a permanent basis. Wait, Salah is still here?! Could've sworn we sold him last season..

I don't think Conte will play Fabregas in an advanced position AT ALL. Unless he completely throws away both his Juve and Italy tactics, I can almost guarantee that that won't be the case.

I REALLY doubt that Conte would play Cesc in advanced position. The mobility of the forwards are usually key for Conte, both in attack and defense. Also, a midfield 2 of Kante and Matic seriously lacks a creative spark. I don't think it's about selling Matic but rather whether or not he'd want to stay. The thing with Fabregas is that unless you play with 3 central midfielders he's going to leave you with an obvious weakness, be it deep or, imo worse. in an advanced role. But he is still a key player for us, and probably our only top class player along with Eden. I understand why he needs to be in the team despite his weaknesses.

I read somewhere yesterday that Conte said he wants to ply with 2 central midfielders. If true, then surely that means that Matic is gone because the 2 starting central midfielders will no doubt be Fabregas and Kante, likely with Mikel and RLC as back up.

That's nothing to do with this match though, does it? The market is still open for some time, and there will most likely be a lot more changes and as someone said, most of the players who played today will not be key players for us next season and probably more than half won't even be here. I think the management probably have in the back of their mind that Conte will probably be here for 2-3 seasons at best, as is usually the case, after which he'd probably take the new goalkeeping coach with him (still haven't memorized his name) and they realize that Lollichon is the better of the two and would like to still have him here after Conte leaves. That and probably we don't want him to join Petr at Arsenal.
