  1. Honestly, he's got a slight shot at making it here as a LB. None whatsoever in central midfield. I hope I'm wrong but he's basically saying he doesn't see his future here if he is insisting on playing in midfield.
  2. Nah, I'll cheer Jose to beat Pep any day of the week unless Chelsea are directly affected by it. Draw is obviously best for us but it's still way too early to make any significant difference. Also, who the fuck decided that it would be a good idea to put an international break at the start of September. Damn it, after that incredible deadline day I want to see some bloody football!
  3. Well, for me the only way I could donate is if you accept VISA.
  4. @Jim, the problem with donating, for me at least, is that you only accept Paypal. Paypal is not available in many places in the world, including here in Lebanon.
  5. Great to hear from you. Hope you get well soon
  6. At what is Ramos 'miles superior'?
  7. Only how it would look on PSG's FFP budget, but not ours.
  8. We are NOT utd. We are nowhere near as big as united are. Sorry, but it's ridiculous to even compare.
  9. On a different note, we just hit 35 loaned players with Colckett and Jake Clarke-Salter to Bristol Rovers by my count (which frankly might well be off by one or two).
  10. Am I the only one who doesn't want Rodriguez?
  11. Bloody hell, how does Courtois manage to make statements to the press about EVERY fucking thing??! Ffs Conte hasn't commented about it yet. The club hasn't even announced the signing! Boy sure loves to talk...
  12. Obviously everyone is coming here for those 'sultry Russians'!
  13. Let's hope he does better than the last two left-backs we signed! Welcome to the family, Marcos!
  14. He's got the ability to become even better, imo.
  15. Bonnuci is actually INCREDIBLY similar to David. Ability and technique on the ball way above defenders level coupled with a knack for brain-farts and school-boy mistakes. Granted Bonnuci doesn't make them nearly as much as Luiz, but trust me, he makes them too!
  16. This all mental and exciting but fucking hell, did the club have ANY plan at the start of the window or even last week? We look like we're bidding for every possibly available option on the market!
  17. Couldn't shake the feeling all week that this transfer window feels somehow incomplete, and I just realized why: I haven't read a single Hulk rumor so far!
  18. Juve managed to get all of Cuadrado, Pjanic, Benatia, Higuain, Alves and Pjaca and still make a profit in the market! Amazing window they've had.
  19. Pretty optimistic about this signing. I actually have higher hopes for Alonso than I did for Baba and even Luis. That's not to say that he's a better player than Luis, but I think he's more equipped to succeed here.
  20. Someone unlock the deadline day thread, you lazy bastards
  21. No, that's literally a different Milan! You do know he plays for Inter not AC, right? Please tell me you're not making all this fuss and you don't even know what club he plays for? Listen mate, it's really a simple argument that stands true 99.99999999999% of the time: It is incredibly unlikely that bench-warmers from mid-table teams can improve our squad. I can't think of a single bench player from any mid-table EPL team that I'd like to see us sign, certainly not for 25m. Can you? And that is certainly true for Serie A teams as well. FFS the guy is playing second-fiddle to Gary Medel and we are bidding 25 million for him!
  22. I watch the Serie A weekly being a Juve supporter. Obviously I don't watch all Inter matches but I've probably seen him more than most on here. To me this is like us being linked with say Claudio Yacob. Sure, he can be a decent player and has even played for Argentina, but it makes less than zero sense for him to be linked with us. He's just not at the level required to make a move to Chelsea.
  23. I think this is probably the best chance he'll get to prove himself in the premiere league. Burnley play with 2 up top so the pressure will be less on him and he won't have as much work to do. I think he also has a good chance of displacing one of their current strikers or will at least get a shot at doing so. And the expectations aren't very high so it'll be a lot easier to surpass them. I think Patrick has already exceeded expectations in coming this far and even being in the EPL, so let's hope he does so another time and prove that he's not just 'a good championship striker'.
