Don't think his situation improved than last season. If anything, it's become harder for him with Cesc and Tiago likely coming in. But Jose seems to have faith in him so I'm sure he'll get his fair chances if he manages to stay fit.

I think he's likely to go to Vitesse next season now that he's spent enough time with the youth team to gain a homegrown status. There's no rush with Nathan. He's still very young and has time on his side.

Still, do we want him only playing in smaller games against weaker opposition? I'd rather he gets 30-35 PL games at Southampton as a starter and come up against the likes of City, Arsenal, utd...etc.

The team doesn't need to do well, he does. Can't see him playing much Everton except maybe some EL games. If we want him to play teams of that level then we should keep him in Belgium. The point of PL loan is for him to actually play PL games.
