Syrian army today captured a Chinese guy fighting with ISIS. Rumors are that there's a few hundred Chinese fighting with ISIS in Syria. But, you know, their ideology is just that of the barbaric cultures of the middle east...

Not sure where to post this, but I came across this excellent documentary: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x25hjrf_football-s-greatest-teams-chelsea_sport

Miraculously, it ended in a 2-2 draw! Your U21 team is not very good. They conceded a goal from a striker who is a free agent, he can't even find a team in Lebanon!

Which part? I can write it in a linear mathematical equation for you if you want... But, at least in common talk among people, it is used the other way around: If my neighbor (imaginary because I don't have a neighbor) were as good looking as you (real), I'd ask her out....If my kids (imaginary because I don't have kids) were as noisy as yours (real) I'd go crazy...etc. This could be grammatically incorrect, but it is commonly used. But if we are going to be pedantic about it then the original sentence is grammatically incorrect either way because both cases are completely imaginary and cannot be reality hence "were" should be used instead of "was" even for singular subjects. Ex: If I were in your shoes; If she were still alive; If yesterday were Friday...etc.

Turkish Airlines rumoured to replace Samsung
CHOULO19 replied to Waterfall's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I really doubt that. Didn't we just this year start the new contract with Samsung that we signed last year or the year before? -
So, the Syrian 'moderate' resistance looks to have been resurrected from the dead, at least by the looks. After doing piratically nothing for what? About 18 months now? several of those groups held massive rallies this week seeming to compete to prove who is 'moderate' than the other Meaning? Probably that the US is genuinely contemplating strikes against ISIS inside Syria and are looking for someone to replace it in its current areas of power. Practically, Al Nusra will be the only one replacing ISIS who are Al Qaeda's branch in Syria, but that isn't great PR for the US so they need some group that would look like they are taking the power, at least in some areas. On a different note, everyone talks about Russia's propaganda media, but that is only true for people living in Russia. For the rest of the world, no one hears the Russian side of the story. We've been hearing every single day about what the Russians have done and are doing in Ukraine with every talk show painting a crazy Putin, but that is propaganda as well. Different type, but still a one-sided propaganda nonetheless. You have no idea the kind of restrain that Russia is showing while NATO are messing around their border and not for the first time. Russia does not want confrontation with the US yet and the Americans are making the most out of that. The Russians haven't used all their influences in Ukraine, let alone all of Europe, but the Americans are pushing it with the sanctions. Here is Europe's dependence on Russia's gas (in 2012): Russia can literally make half of Europe freeze to death in the winter if they cut off their gas. They should really be careful how hard they poke the Russian bear.

Must have been Saturday if he's that drunk! It's a bit of a tough one though the trick is in the English actually, not the math. What does each of "Yesterday" and "Tomorrow" refer to? Meaning, is it the yesterday/tomorrow of today or Friday? The three interpretations are: 1) If Friday's yesterday was tomorrow = If Thursday was tomorrow => Today = Wednesday 2) If yesterday was Friday's tomorrow = If yesterday was Saturday => Today = Sunday 3) The third possibility is for both "yesterday" and "tomorrow" to be referring to same day: Either both referring to Friday, or both referring to Today. In both cases, the puzzle does not have a solution. So it depends on how you interpret the words and what they refer to. To my knowledge, both 1) and 2) are grammatically correct interpretations. So the answer is either Wednesday or Sunday.

Oh, we will! I'm so jealous! I was certain that @Stingray would make a comment about the "XL" part!

Not at all, I can't stop laughing either! But not very good news for us (Chelsea). Wallace is getting absolutely battered defensively by Hasan f***ing Maatouk! Can't even begin to explain how bad that is...

Lebanese senior NT playing friendly against Brasil U21. Already 1-0 down and Brasil have missed a couple of absolute sitters, and it's only the third minute of the match!

How many posts for changing from "youth team" etc
CHOULO19 replied to thekid9's topic in Announcements & Support
Mate, you can change it to whatever the heck you want from your profile. Believe it or not, "Pink Vader" is not a rank -
Don't think so. I think regardless he will most likely be leaving next summer, the new contract will most likely only affect the price tag.

He has two years left now, but he's expected to sign a renewal before Jan.
