  1. AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi claims there is a 'good chance' that the club can sign Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor in the summer. Adebayor was wanted by the Italian giants 12 months ago, but a deal failed to materialise and the Togo ace signed a new contract at Emirates Stadium. However, rumours of a move away from Arsenal have resurfaced in recent weeks, with Chelsea having been linked with an end-of-season bid. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger admitted last week that he would have no problem selling to a Premier League rival, but insisted Adebayor is part of his plans. The former Monaco forward also revealed earlier this month that he will be staying with the club '100 per cent' next season, but Milan appear set to make a renewed attempt to sign the 25-year-old. Good chance Berlusconi has confirmed the Rossoneri's interest in agreeing a deal and is positive about the prospects of persuading Adebayor to move to the San Siro. "There is a good chance that we can get Adebayor," Berlusconi told the Italian media on Sunday night. Meanwhile, Berlusconi revealed Milan will assess the future of Ronaldinho in the summer following the Brazilian's dip in form. He added: "We will see at the end of the season. I still think he's a good investment."
  2. No Kalou please. He has had 3 seasons to prove himself but his finishing is just bad. And the news is, AC Milan is very likely to sign Adebayor. Its on Sky. Thats a great news.
  3. How can we have them both. Ashley young for 18 million and Zirkov for 15M. Its expensive. Its possible but we will be wasting an expensive signing on the bench. Id say, Keep Malouda and Buy Zirkov and sell Ferriera. This way we can have a back up on the left wing and for right wing we can have Joe Cole and Stoch as his back up. Advantage with Ashley Young is, he wouldnt take time to adapt to the premier league and can play on either wings whereas Zirkov can only play on the left. OR Sell, Malouda and Ferriera and as Esk said buy both Young and Zirkov. This way Zirkov can compete with Ashley Cole for the left back position. And also be a back up for Young.
  4. Because with the passing of every year people become old. And yeah,we should have and we could have. Look to the future and get over the past.
  5. It is understood that Ancelloti has intimated the club that he wants to sign Ashley Young(according to THE SUN ofcourse) If Young comes in, we will have him on the left wing. May be we are selling off Malouda in the summer. But the Club themselves have showed interest in Zirkov for a while. Who is another bright talent. The advatage with Zirkov is that he could be a back up for Cole if Cole gets injured as he plays as a wingback as well. I would personally prefer Zirkov, but Ashley Youngs experience in the league makes him the front runner. It seems the price tag for Young is 18 million pounds.
  6. Even if we had Grant, we would have won it. Cus the training methods would have been the same, the squad would have been fitter and would have had the resilience from the Mourinho Era. Scolari, like one undoes a bunch of Knots, undid everything that was well set, He couldnt have screwed the squad in a better way. Squad was pathetic at defending aerial balls, no men on post, no resilience, Unfit squad. Specially in Feb when Hiddink took over he said his first priortiy is to get the fitness levels back. The losses against Man Utd away(the worst performance by Chelsea in a long long time), Fulham away, Hull home and Liverpool away(Thanks yo Mike Riley) cost us the league.
  7. The Club is a joke cus they sack the best manager in the world and are now in a situation where there arent many class managers left. All of a sudden they seem to be pleading for Ancelotti, cus if he doesnt join us, we would be fucked for another year. Although Ancelotti hasnt joined us, he will let the board know who he wants in his new squad before actually joining us after the Italian season ends.
  8. Champions League so that we can _|_ to Platini Champions League to Shut the Media's trap. Champions League as its become more and more important cus we always seem to be so close to winning it. Its become more of a challenge now. Champions league so that we can stop saying next years will be ours.
  9. Last year more than 50% of the fans were saying Mark Huges, and we saw how inept he was when it came to handling big personalities. MON is a good coach. But there is an oceans gap between being good and being great. Great coaches know how to handle big personalities. Hiddink, Mourinho, showed us that while Scolari was an epic fail. Hence, No Thanks for MON. I am having second thoughts on Carlo Ancelloti. For 7 years, he has managed a team selected by Galliani and Bersculoni. He has a very little say in transfers and yet with whatever team was given to him, he won 2 Champions League and almost won another if it wasnt for the epic comeback by Liverpool. 3 Champions league finals in 7 seasons. Plus has won a scudetto and finsihed 2nd in 5 seasons out of 7. My only concern is his english. How will he drive the players on. We saw how the communication gap brought the downfall of Scolari. If he can spur the teams in half time with hs english, and converse his tactics articulately, Ill be happy to have hiim.
  10. Although I dont deny the fact that the board is a joke, i feel adebayooooooor is Ancellotti's choice more than the board. I just hope we buy players who gives it everything on the field. eg: Tevez
  11. This is a joke...We are surplus at the back.
  12. Ancelloti has played all his life in Ital and has managed all his life in Italy. Plus, in his 7 yrs at AC Milan, he has won 2 Champions League and 1 League title. Pretty much OK record.
  13. If we have another temporary manager next season, the Media will have another Feild Year
  14. He is a Nearly Manager, Ballack is the Nearly Man and Chelsea is a Nearly team. If only hiddink could stay with us, we could be a force to reckon with once again.
  15. 3 years back, you wouldnt have called Liverpool a Strong team. Look at them now. They have progressed and we have regressed. The club has made a joke out of itself post September 2007. True, luck hasnt been with us, but I feel we shouldnt just blame luck when we are playing with almost the same squad for 3 seasons.
  16. We all appreciate what we have acheived but I still feel, knowing the club and the standards it has set, we have under acheived for three successive seasons. Whats worse than changing 3 managers in 2 seasons..lol. And please dont bring the relegation topic over here. We are looking at a Club that has invested millions but is operating like a joke. We are talking about a squad, that has gone from being the best to being an aged squad. No wonder the media and opposition fans like to have a laugh at us. The only way to shut those idiots is by gettin back to winning ways. And by that I mean winning the title or the Champions League.
  17. Being ambitious isnt Glory hunting for your kind information. It kinda rubbed off on me from our owner and our most successfull manager .. As they say Success spoils a man. It pains me to see the amount of money spent on the squad and not win anything and then become the joke of all the tabloids and opposition fans. May be you can take it, I cannot. I would be happy with the position we are in or even in a worse position, had we not spent much. And sorry, but I do not agree with your comment on last 5 seasons. Ive seen you whining about the club and Roman in last two three seasons post Jose Sacking. So dont try and sound like you are happy with the way the club is "progressing". Id be surprised if any fan over here says last 3 seasons have been happy for him. Specially after some anti club, anti Roman and anti Grant threads that Ive seen started on this forum. So lets not be all Hypocrites here.....
  18. Well, Sir, my reference was to the squad.
  19. I am not sure, but I think We lost to Millwall in the FA CUp semis in mid 90s and the reasons were pretty similar to the ones we experienced at the Bride against Barcelona. I think we were denied 2 blatant penalties by the referee and finally Milwall scrapped through. May be the Veterans on this site can shed a light on this.
  20. That is the difference between Chelsea and Liverpool. They spend millions on their squad and consider their season as one of the best. When I say, we had set some standards we have failed to acheive that says it all. You may be satisfied with what we acheived in last two months but if you could make an effort to look at the broader picture, you would see the way Liverpool and Manchester United have progressed with their squads, while we have remained stagnant. And we all know we shouldnt have been in this situation we are in at the moment, we should have done better considering the overall season.
