1. I live in California and I havent Slept. Cant miss the first game of the season.....Chelsea Better win this cus I havent slept. The match is at 4:45 am Pacific Time. Boingwa IN Iva OUT rest of the team is the same.
2. I dont see him play ahead of Drogba, Anelka, Sturridge and Kalou. What is more suprising is is next season is the World Cup and any other player would have gone to another club in search of First Team football. But Shevchenko wants to stay at a club where he will be playing Reserve games most of the time. All this for money.....
3. In the words of James Brown: 'I feel good…- So good, So good'
4. I think we should stop slagging Ivanovic for one bad performance. He played RB last seasons in a number of games specially against the likes of Liverpool and Barcelona and Arsenal and gave top quality performances there. One terrible performance on the right in a pre season competitive game doesnt make him a back RB. I still like Iva and more faith should be shown in him....But, I do agree that Bosingwa is a better RB because he has more pace.
5. 98 not 99.....And I hope you are right but i am not going to get excited this soon....
6. Old Habits Die Hard.....Well, Some do and I am glad we managed to win on Penalties but some dont as we gave a last minute equalizer. I hope we score more last minute winners than concede them this season. I was confident on winning on penalties cus we had players like Lampard, Ballack, Drogba, Deco and Kalou. I didnt see the first half but second half we controlled the game. The last minute equalizers are getting on my nerves, its been a habit now. People need to understand that Diamond formation is one of the most difficult formations to play in, and needs alot of coordination in midfield. We should give it a shot although i am not to much in favour of it as it compromises the skills of Lampard and Essien. But the advantage is we have two strikers upfront and that gives a zonal advantage to us. I am glad that we have a fairly easy draw in the beginning as we can get our coordination right by the time the big games come. Also, glad to see our team coming bck strong in the second half after a poor first half, something we didnt ses much during Scolari era.
7. Ok....what time is the match UK time and is it on sunday or saturday..?
8. Congrats to Jim...He does a marvelous job setting up these forums and moderating it day and night. Congrats to al the moderators as well who try to keep this forum as clean and freindly as they can. And Badboy: 100 is an exaggerated number, hardly 20-25 post regularly. And we are missing some oldies here like FB and mischieff. Hope to see them soon once the season starts.
9. Umm....We are pretty full, even if Pizzaro, Carvalho, Sheva leave. Whats the need to call him the next Scolari or mad, just cus he said we wont sign anyone. I think, we are still probing the signing of Aguero which if happens would spell the end of Kalou if it doesnt happen we are still happy with the squad. During the AFN, we will get Di Santo back as his Loan spell ends. So we will have Anelka, Sturridge and Di Santo upfront. In the midfield we have Ballack, Belleti, Joe Cole, Lampard, Mancienne if needed along with Deco(if he stays) for the three midfield positions. And considering the African players would miss about 3-4 premier league games during AFN, I think thatsa sufficient cover we have.
10. Relax....no need to get all touchy...Half the members on this forum have been frustrated with your -ve jibes at Ancelotti and the Clubs chances. This was a welcome relief. And stay clear of personal remarks........dont fuck around over here.
11. And THAT!!! my friend is your first positive post in ages....
12. Disappointed with the way Sinclair case has been handled. And alot has to be blamed on constant change of managers. Jose Mourinho gave an 18 yrs old Sinclair a start against Arsenal and he was fantastic at emriates. He played few games under Jose Mourinho and I beleive had Mourinho stayed, Sinclair would have been pushing Joe Cole by now. But new managers every seasons has hampered his growth and im disapointed to see him go on loan every season. Hopefully, this loan to a premier league club would help him grow as a player. And I hope to see him next yearin the Chelsea squad.
13. Aguero is a second striker/winger and Pato is an out and out Striker. Id prefer Aguero and if he comes i can see a Drogba/Aguero Strike Pair with Anelka being the second choice striker.
14. Yeah...Fucking Get a Loan and Pay It. Crack Whore!!!
15. As long as he has a Plan B and with that I mean playing in a formation with wingers, I am fine with Diamond.
16. Adrian Mutu Should Seek Damages From Chelsea, Not The Other Way Around – Luciano Moggi ‘Lucky Luciano’ has slammed the €17 million fine imposed on the Romanian… 3 Aug 2009 16:20:56 Photo Gallery Zoom Luciano Moggi
Related Links
Teams ChelseaFiorentinaJuventus Former Juventus transfer chief Luciano Moggi has blasted the decision by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) demanding Adrian Mutu pay former club Chelsea €17 million compensation, and says the 30-year-old is the one who should be seeking damages. The ruling on Friday related to Mutu’s dispute with Chelsea after the club sacked him when he tested positive for cocaine in 2004. After years of legal wrangling, CAS eventually ruled that Mutu had committed a breach of contract by taking cocaine, and that under FIFA’s laws for compensation he was responsible for the transfer fee Chelsea wrote off their accounts when they sacked him. The final damages, following an unsuccessful appeal, were set at €17m (£14.6m). There has been uproar in some circles over the severity of this punishment, with Goal.com’s world editors declaring it as indefensible. The outspoken Moggi, who signed Mutu on a free transfer for Juventus in January 2005, has now had his say on the matter. “The ruling on Mutu? Now there will be appeals, but what counts is that Mutu was sacked,” the 72-year-old told Radio Blu. “He did not voluntarily go. He was booted out of the door, and as I see it, it should be him who is seeking damages from Chelsea, not the other way around.” What the Fuck is this guy thinking. We didnt ask him to snort cocaine. He should have thought about the consequences before taking cocaine. Mutu could now take the case to the European Court of Human Rights, while Fiorentina team-mates have stood by and even offered to conduct a whip-round to help him pay off the fine.
17. I hope he doesnt end up like Sahar at Pompey.
18. With Di Santo Loaned to Blackburn, I am sure we will go for another striker. And Aguero would be perfect for around 35m. Unless we decide to keep Kalou........
19. Dont know why Media always link him to defensive midfield. He is best going forward. Just cus we are going for Pirlo, the media comes out with its own assumptions.
20. He won the Silver ball at the age of 18 in the Under 20 World Youth Cup while Messi won the Golden Ball. Mikel was an exception.....
21. I think Deco will leave and Cole will Stay while we get Pirlo to replace Deco. Lamprd 31, Ballack 33, Pirlo 30, Deco 31, Malouda 29... Essien 26, Mikel 22, Zirkov 25, Joe Cole 28, Deco to leave.......
