Thats a Ridiculous Formation. Villa the supposedly "BEST STRIKER" in europe at the moment on the Right wing? Attacking midfielder Lampard playing deep in the midfield. Ballack looks fine there as he is more of a box to box type. If we are playing that formation, I would rather have Essien, ballack and Mikel for those 2 deep midfield roles. May be Deco and Lampard could be swapped for that role behind the striker. Ronaldinho and Joe Cole or Quaresma and Joe Cole on the wings. NO DAVID VILLA PLEASE!!!....One hatrick in EURO 2008 shouldnt lure a club into wasting 30 million pounds on him.

Its Samba mood at the Bridge!! Scoooolaaaareeeeeee...Oh-Oh Scoooolaareeeeeee Oh- Oh -Oh -Oh  To the tune of ......"Volare"

Yes..and that too after just 90 minutes. There is NO extra time.

Bad boy.....are you an African European(black)?

^^^^...Add Ranieri too, to the list of ill treated managers at Chelsea. I really really hope he stays with us for 3-4 seasons atleast. He is a fickle minded manager. Changes clubs every one or two seasons. Potugal was the only place where he managed for 5 seasons.
-
Same here. But my only concern is he is a bit of Drogba and Ronaldo when it comes to whining and crying on the field thereby not giving a 100%. And that is the last thing I want to see in his first season for Chelsea along with, us fans pacifying ourselves by saying "This IS HIS FIRST SEASON IN PEMIER LEAGUE HE NEEDS TIME TO ADJUST"...like we deed in Drogba's case, Sheva's case, Maloudas case, etc etc.
-
That is THE BEST AWAY KIT !!! for a long long time.
-
Would be great to see Quaresma and Joe cole on the flanks running riot. The only problem with Quaresma is, he is a bit of a Whiner and gives up easily on the balls if he is tackled. Showboats alot. Bit of Ronaldo and Drogba there. I hope Big Phil, brings out the very best in him and diciplines him.

Luiz Felipe Scolari: In His Own Words
warnie_666 replied to Fulham Broadway's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Wenger wouldnt dare in his dreams to punch Scolari. He is No Alan Pardew He is definately gonna be the media's favourite with his funny quotes and digs at refs and other managers. -
A draw in that match would mean Goal Difference and NOT penalties. If equal on Goal Difference then it comes down to who scored the most goals. And atm, Turkey's Goal difference is = -1 and Czech Republic's Goal Difference is = -1 and both have scored equal number of goals.
-
I have seen him start with Quaresma and Ronaldo during the Euro Qualifiers with Simao on the bench. Hence I was expecting him to start with Ronaldo and Quaresma. Oh and one more fact, Scolari left out Quaresma from the World Cup squad inspite of winning the Portuguese Footballer of the year award for 2005 and 2006. Hence, not too sure how high Scolari rates him.

Because, people raised in shoddy areas of Amsterdam, without proper upbringing and education turn racist and hate asians and come up with such remarks.
-
Took you two days and two replies for that comeback. ...you could do better pimpboy.
-
Dont knwo how highly Big Phil regards Quaresma's talent. Two games in succession he has started on Bench. Huntelaar plays best with a supporting striker is what I feel as Ajax plays with 2 strikers upfront.(correct me if im wrong)
-
Who wants to bet on Ronaldinho coming to Chelsea, with Scolari in the Hot seat.? He plays 4-3-3. All we gotta do is, get a direct dribbling winger and a good quality striker. Midfield shoudnt be tinkered with if we are to play 4-3-3. Also, now we will hear rumours about Ronaldo coming to Chelsea. You heard it first here.
-
Oh and yes....GOOD LUCK BIG PHIL!!!
-
With Scolari as our new manager after the tournament, I can see more and more Chelsea fans supporting Portugal as the tournament progresses
-
I am NOT getting too excited with this. He has ZERO experience of managing in EUROPE. most of his life he has managed clubs in brazil and West Asia. and led a star studded Brazil team to the WC victory. He is 59 a bit too old. I am not sure how long he will last. He cant speak english, dont know how he will put his ideas across, exactly the reason why Lippi backed out. The only positive thing is, Carvalho has an incentive to stay at Chelsea and finally we will see some good attacking football.
-
What a retard....surely a scouser as he ignored Gerrad and took digs at every other player. Oh and one more thing it looks like its 8-0 from his post but that wise crack mentioned 7-0. needs math tuitions that guy.

Clinical Performance from Portugal. Good at attack, solid in Defence. Ronaldo looks a totally different player in the Portuguese Shirt. The same Class player minus the showboating, whining, crying and diving wonder why he cant be the same in the Man Utd shirt. Boswinga looks a class act but Touch Wood...cus so did Boulahrouz and we all know how bad he was when he played for us... Cant help but take a shot at the Czech team. You cant help but think that Petr Cech gives his best behind a pretty shoddy defense. Numerous occasions hes saved the Czech team from utter humiliation. The Czech defense needs to raise their bar. And in the end, good to see a normally selfish Ronaldo deciding not to go one on one against the Big Pete and instead choosing to pass the ball to Quaresma who had no problems in tapping the ball in.

What makes you so confident he wont leave? If there is a player that is bound to goto Inter Milan it is Carvalho, Carvalho has been more with Jose than with Chelsea in his footballing career and its obvious he would love to be with Jose than stay with Chelsea
-
Yes, Also saw alot of Hoes from amsterdam in the crowd. Basically Netherland = Arsenal. Young squad of kids playing brilliant football and winning shit. Germany=Chelsea..EFFICIENCY PERSONIFIED!!!
-
I am for Portugal...as i hold a portuguese passport .. Surprised to see Quaresma on the bench.

Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho admits he would 'love' to play under former coach Jose Mourinho again, and revealed he would be discussing his Stamford Bridge future with chief executive Peter Kenyon after Euro 2008. The Portugal centre-back has been linked with a move to Inter Milan, where Mourinho - who coached Carvalho at Porto and Chelsea - has just been appointed as boss. The 30-year-old is one of many players expected to be tempted to join Mourinho, and he admits a tough decision lies in wait for him at the end of the tournament. 'I have heard a few comments (about a move to Inter),' he said. 'It's a club matter and I am focused on playing for the national team so we will see after. 'But I would love to be coached by Mourinho again. The majority of the trophies I have won were won with Mourinho. 'At Chelsea, there is a new cycle happening so we will see what happens. I have a contract with Chelsea. 'But you never know - sometimes a challenge is good for a player. I will speak with Peter Kenyon after the tournament.' Cristiano Ronaldo, Carvalho's Portugal team-mate, has also been linked with a move away from Premier League, with Real Madrid admitting they would be interested in signing the Manchester United winger. Carvalho believes only Ronaldo himself can decide whether his future lies away from Old Trafford. 'He has to make his decision,' he added. 'Sometimes a new challenge is good but he has to make that decision. I can't say much about this.' ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Source:soccernet.com There you go, Carvalho speaks out. I think he is sure to leave this summer.
