Boswinga named in the EURO 2008 Team which for me establishes the fact that he is at present THE BEST RIGHT BACK in EUROPE if not world.

My only problem is, who the hell is gonna make up for the 80% of Chelsea goals that come from Drogba and Lampard if we sell them both. And I wonder how Deco and Terry will face each other at the training ground after their confrontation in Nou Camp, 2 yrs back. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNZ9-KZ7pNo

Chelsea have completed the signing of Barcelona playmaker Deco for a reported fee of £7.9million. It is understood Deco has agreed a two-year deal in West London and that he will cost Chelsea a fee in the region of 10million euros (£7.9m). The 30-year-old becomes new manager Luiz Felipe Scolari's first signing, despite the fact that the Brazilian does not officially take over at Stamford Bridge until Tuesday. A statement on Chelsea's official website said: "Chelsea football club is delighted to confirm the signing of Deco from FC Barcelona." Scolari reunion Summer speculation consistently linked Deco with a move to Chelsea and the arrival of Scolari stoked the rumours. Former Portugal boss Scolari coached Deco, who impressed at Euro 2008, at international level and it was thought that both parties were keen for a reunion. The Blues could view Deco as a possible replacement for Frank Lampard, who is being strongly linked with a move to Internazionale. And Deco is looking forward to the challenge of overhauling Manchester United in the Premier League and UEFA Champions League after Chelsea finished runners-up to the Red Devils in both competitions last season. Challenge "I am sure I have come at the right to do great things and be able to help Chelsea go back to the way it was," Deco told Chelsea TV. "The Premier League is a great league and it is getting better and you can see that with the Champions League final, where you had two English teams. "It is great that we have so many great players here at Chelsea and it is great that there is the competition which is healthy for everybody and this just makes the team better. "To have great players in any position of the club just enhances the club. I know it is a new challenge but I am looking forward to it. "I know I need a little bit of time to adapt, but I am sure I will adapt quite well and quite fast and do my best for the team." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thats a STEAL!!!!...Deco for 7 odd million pounds when there were rumours of a 10 million, 13 or 15 million pound deal

At first I thought this is a rumour, then I saw it on few other links and today it was confirmed by Skysports.

Although Alcides was expected to stay at the Dutch club, he has now revealed that Chelsea have called him to replace Ricardo Carvalho. "PSV Eindhoven wanted me to stay, but I have learned that Chelsea want me back. It seems that Ricardo Carvalho is leaving and I am going to replace him," Alcides said. The Portuguese international has been linked with football away from Chelsea, having been tipped to join Inter Milan and play under José Mourinho for the third time after joint spells at Porto and Chelsea. Despite Saturday's reports suggesting Inter Milan to be interested in FC Porto's Bruno Alves, Carvalho is understood to be The Special One's prime target to reinforce the defense. Alcides, 23, signed for Chelsea in 2004 but has yet to have his official debut for the Blues.

Would loosing Lampard be a Blessing in Disguise?

ON a positive note, there is a sense of calmness with the club regarding Lampards contract. They are showing the similar attitude they showed when they went about securing the manager, and thats getting the work done without making too much fuss about it in the media . I am sure Lampard will get his contract sorted out and shut the trap of these media personnel. -
As long as his Girfriend is seen in stands cheering him up I have no probs having him, cus shes an Absolute Knock Out !!!
-
Why isnt there any from our side? It looks like everyone at Chelsea have locked the gates of the club and have gone on a long holiday. Every morning I wake up and open Skysports expecting the Club to have made some signings but there is absolutely NO NEWS on it. I was expecting some signings after Portugal was kicked out. But its been a week and still No clue on who is joining Chelsea and Who is leaving Chelsea(apart from Sidwell). Also, no news on Lampard's contract.

What goes around comes around.!!! and thats just what Turkey experienced. But what a TEAM Turkey is. They played with almost a second string side with a total of 13 players to choose from and were the Best team throughout. The Best team Lost today.

If You Could Play For Chelsea For One Game Only...

Champions league Final against the Man Utd's "best ever team"....hitting a 92nd minute thunderous strike from 30 yards, sealing the game for Chelsea and shutting the traps of the Man Utd scums. -
I am personally NOT a fan of this buying a player based on his performances in 4 matches in a tournament. Hence my answer is, NO...I would go for a striker who has proved his worth over the whole season.

What do we want? a Midfielder who scores 20 goals a season? thats more than most of the strikers score in a season. OR Do we want a player who opens up defences and create goal scoring balls for team mates and scores 10 goals a season himself.? Difficult choice to make. ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO REPLACE LAMPARD!!!...you dont get a "20 goals a season midfielder" anywhere on earth. But...it could be a blessing in disguise for people like Ballack (as we saw last season), Joe Cole, and other people in the team as they get a chance to express themselves in the midfield. -
Dont you think youve made an Absolute Arse out of yourself today?...by the way...you dint answer my Question..and this is the third time I am asking you...Are you an African European Black guy?...

RIP annisa!!..condolences to the boulahrouz family

I had read somehwere 4 days back that Jose Mourinho critisized Scolari's Zonal marking for Set Pieces and yesterday we saw why.....
-
I cant think of anyone who is better than Ballack in Air. He is the best. It was a given that if Germany wins, they would win it with long balls and set pieces as they are taller and stronger compared to Portugal.
-
I was watching the same game as you but Deco, ACCORDING TO ME for most part was non existant. It wasnt the same performance he gave against the Czechs. They really lacked a good Striker. Also the biggest Irony, Ballck scored the Goal that ended the Scolari(to be Chelsea Manager) era in Portugal. And he was marked by Paulo Ferriera another Chelsea player.
-
Well...I know its Kutner who is FL's agent, but This new guy Granello seems to be the broker for the deal as he is an Italian and knows the Italian Club's repesentatives well.
-
Germans were just too powerful for the portuguese. Deco was invisible on the field. I dont think Scolari did enough to attack. From the begining I always said, its either Germans or Portugal. German efficiency will go on to win now that Portugal are out.
-
I read yesterday that, Chelsea offered him 133000 and an extension for two years whereas FL wants 133000 with an extension for 4 years. Chelsea are a bit apprehensive in giving him a huge contract like that for a longer period as he has touched 30 and they fear he wouldnt be the same in a year or two. ShevChenko episode has been a RUDE shock for them and they dont want to take any chances again. Ballack was also given a similar deal of 120000 for 3 years and depending on his performances hes contract will be extended. THAT EXPLAINS THAT BOTH FL AND Chelsea WANT EACH OTHER!!! but the Club is being just cautious.
-
In your dreams...its gonna be Portugal!!!
-
We all know FL's salary is around 120000. Chelsea offered him a better contract which I beleive as to be MORE than 120000 and hence the figure 130000 come into the pic, but FL seems to want more.... Now we dont know how much he exactly wants, but NO player is bigger than the club.
-
Dont worry, they will together rake in another 13 million.
