Sorry, I edited my post. Didn't read yours properly before replying Not sure if it's true but it's on Paul Terry's wikipedia page (not the most reliable source, I know)

Edit: yeah I remember reading about the suicide thing re: his brother Screwed up family lol

Was just making a general comment, not just at you. And like I said, I too don't believe he's a racist. He's just a really really dumb person. He should know that being captain of his club and country, being a "role model", he needs to keep his emotions in check. Yes I know his emotion makes him the player that he is, but if he really did use the word "black" then it's really really stupid of him to do so and there is no excuse. Use the word cunt or wanker or whatever but when you bring in a person's race or sexuality or whatever of that nature, it's crossing the line. Even if it's just said without actually meaning it, it's still wrong and should be stamped out Still support him until there's been a decision made either way. and he will still be a legend in my eyes for what he's done on the pitch, which you've already described Do think BB has taken it a bit too far with the JT abuse
-
Told myself I wouldn't judge him til it was proven, but some of our fans' blind faith in him is crazy. Like I said, he isn't a racist. But that doesn't mean it's ok to say what he's allegedly said
-
I really thought that it was just a media witch hunt, which is still is, but with this latest rumour that he's going to get charged by the police... it's disappointing. He's let the club down again if true We know that JT isn't a racist, but he should not be saying this shit at all, let alone in a football match watched by millions.

Stats are unreliable. Stats back up Kalou, Malouda, Bosingwa (which claimed he's a better defender than Ashley Cole) but would you honestly want them in your starting 11?
-
Yes sorry I meant we should stick with him til the end of season, not end of the year I really hope he gets it going. He's never going to get back to his "best" the way he was in 08/09 but he still can be a reliable 20 goals a season player That red card against Swansea really screwed everything up. He definitely would have gotten a few more goals against Everton and Bolton
-
But we are going to get rid of them.. I'm 100% sure none of those will still be a Chelsea player come 1st September 2012 I get your point but if he doesn't come into consistent form by the end of the year then he has to go. If he isn't scoring he's kind of useless because he doesn't have the workrate that other players e.g. Rooney have, so that even if they aren't scoring goals they can still contribute their fair share. Yeah Torres gets a few assists here and there but it isn't enough. Anzhi or PSG will probably be willing to pay 25m for him
-
Yeh his performance there was really good and scored an excellent goal too. This one will be different though because you know the LFC fans are going to scream all sorts of things at him and last season he just seemed to collapse under it but now he has to show that he's moving on with that crap
-
Agree last couple of games he was poor. This match against the dippers will be a big test. I'm really interested to see how he performs. If he wants to get back to anything close to his best then he has to start with it. It's no point scoring against Swansea and genk. If he plays well this Sunday, even if he doesn't score, then I'll be much more optimistic because it'll show he's left all the crap in the past and it doesn't affect him anymore.
-
Mr. Sexwale can fuck right off. He is innocent until proven guilty. If he's found guilty, then by all means, sack him as captain. But shut the fuck up until there's any proof.
-
If he is charged then he shouldn't play for us until the trial is over. It will bring too much negative attention to our team and it will affect the players. Perhaps just give him a leave of absence.
-
I agree, his performance against us was due to our awful defending, not wonderful play by him. He's a headless chicken most of the time. We made him look world-class
-
And LFC fans still use the "things were on the way up for us" argument, saying that Queen Kenny's appointment had uplifted the club and why did he still decide to leave?! Well then this proves that he had been fed up for quite some time. Can you imagine being the world's best striker at one point and then having to play in the Europa league against awful opposition while all the best players (and best mates) have already left the club, watch your one-man team again have to fight for a Europa league spot in the league when Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal are just so far ahead of you. How frustrated must you be, watching all your Spanish team mates win trophy after trophy and you've won jack squat when it comes to club honours And you're absolutely right dodojojo, his real loyalties lie with Atletico, not Liverpool FC. But of course, how can anyone expect those deluded cunts to realize this.

The way Liverpool reacted to the whole thing was pathetic. They made it seem as if it was a last minute betrayal and they weren't given any time, whatever. It's a FACT that Torres was disillusioned with the club during all that Hicks and Gillette nonsense. He was promised many things by them and they didn't deliver. They let their best players in Alonso, Arbeloa, etc go. He probably wanted out at the beginning of the 10/11 season but decided to give it some time. Then he was managed by Roy Hodgson... I mean come on! The boardroom saga went on for soooo long. He was suffering injury after injury. And you know what? One of the few decent games he had in 10/11 was against us at Anfield. I've got this feeling that that performance by him, was a message to Roman to buy him and that he's still "got it". Why the transfer was so last minute: Liverpool were trying to sign Suarez for 20odd million and if Ajax had known that they were sitting on 40 or so mil (which would have been the original transfer price if Newcastle hadn't demanded 35m for that lump of shit), they would have asked for much more. Queen Kenny also must have blocked the transfer til the very last minute, as he wanted the LFC supporters to turn on Torres so as to justify the transfer. "He bottled it, he betrayed us" yada yada Y'know what? FUCK THEM. I've never hated anything as much as I hate Liverpool Football Club. I want them to burn and I hope it begins on Sunday with a Torres hattrick.
-
And he hasn't even done anything. Rooney, Torres etc at least they've won loads!
-
Good to hear. Are there any highlights?
-
"My version of events" very interested to read what he has to say about his last few months at Liverpool

Guus Hiddink is expected to be used as an occasional advisor to Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich after losing his job on Tuesday as the manager of Turkey. The former Chelsea manager remains good friends with Abramovich and, while the Dutchman’s sudden availability will intensify outside scrutiny on manager Andre Villas-Boas, there are no plans for him to take on a formal position at the club. Instead, according to sources, Hiddink is likely to continue advising Abramovich on an informal and ad-hoc basis. Hiddink, as ever, is keeping his options wide open and intends to take a period of time away from football before deciding his next move. Chelsea see no reason to make any public comment on the situation and, while nothing can be ruled out in the longer term, Abramovich is understood to be happy with the new managerial structure. Michael Emenalo was appointed in July as technical director, with a particular focus on player recruitment and the academy. Hiddink, who guided Chelsea to victory in the 2008 FA Cup, on Tuesday indicated that he is not necessarily interested in a return to management and may prefer to work more permanently as an advisor. “It was great at Chelsea, a terrific time, but that doesn’t mean I am ready to start tomorrow,” 65-year-old Hiddink said. “I need some time to reflect. Even at my age, I need to decide what my future may be. I’m not ready to retire, I like to be involved with a team on a daily basis, but maybe I am ready to step out of the limelight a little bit, away from the cameras. Hopefully I will still be involved but perhaps it will be as an advisor or a consultant.” Chelsea are adamant that Villas-Boas was their first choice to succeed Carlo Ancelotti as manager during the summer and that they did not approach Hiddink about the job. Hiddink was widely regarded as the natural choice, but Chelsea quickly became convinced that Villas-Boas was the outstanding long-term option. Chelsea have won eight major trophies but also had seven managers since Abramovich bought the club in 2003 and there was a sense that Villas-Boas has the energy to really build a long-term legacy. Aside from his successful three-month spell at Chelsea in 2009, Hiddink has not managed in club football since leaving PSV Eindhoven in 2006. Hiddink’s agent Cees van Nieuwenhuizen suggested that his client was unavailable after Ancelotti departed due to his commitments with Turkey but a senior Chelsea official said he was never approached. “Roman has immense respect for Guus and highly values his opinion, but he did not have any communication with Guus about the job,” the Chelsea source said. Villas-Boas has had a mixed start as Chelsea manager. They sit top of their Champions League group but are fourth in the Premier League and nine points adrift of leaders Manchester City. Hiddink’s departure from the Turkey job was confirmed on Tuesday following their exit from Euro 2012 in a play-off defeat against Croatia. The Dutchman, who has also managed Holland, South Korea, Australia and Russia at international level, took charge of Turkey in August last year and flew back to Holland on Tuesday to assess his options. Sources close to Hiddink have confirmed that he has been approached about taking a job at an unnamed Premier League club. Hiddink said that he no regrets about his work with Turkey, who succumbed to a 3-0 aggregate defeat against Croatia. “When I took the job we had objectives in mind,” he said. “One of the most important was to get the age of the national team down. I’ve brought players through and while we also hoped to qualify for the European Championship, we finished second in the group. “I don’t feel as though it is a failure, you have to be realistic. Turkey have some good young players and they will be stronger for this experience.” http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/8895065/Guus-Hiddink-expected-to-be-used-as-an-occasional-consultant-by-Chelsea-owner-Roman-Abramovich.html

I do hope Meireles starts. Their midfield is utter shite and if we play a 3 of Lamps, Raul and Ramires, we'll overrun them
-
Agree, think he will interfere with AVB and AVB has made it clear to the board that he wants to do things his way (until Roman lets him stay, of course ) Every time we get a bad result or bad "moment" the media (and some of our fans) will go crazy with the AVB OUT GUUS IN campaigns So, no thank you.
-
Completely agree, but I guess it's there to make them happy as they have an easier chance of making it through to the knockout rounds
-
Still has to accept/deny the charge and according to the liverpool website he's gonna deny it
-
Didn't really know where to post this but that cunt Suarez has been charged by the FA
-
Oh damn I didn't even take into account that their LB is Enrique. He's class imo. Johnson is quick but he's brainless and a good winger would destroy him. I see what you're saying and agree with it, but like you said, Danny isn't ready. He's still selfish - he should be as he's originally a striker - and doesn't have the abilities to pass to teammates because that has never been his role. If he had had more experience, Torres would have had a tap in against Arsenal but Sturridge could not make the pass quick enough because he isn't used to the role yet. I wasn't saying that Anelka is the answer to our problems, but he provides more to the team than Sturridge. And yeah, I think Danny would be really good coming off the bench.
