Kalou has actually cost us matches with his stupidity and lack of footballing ability, either directly or indirectly. We all have called him a cunt and abused him but at the end of the day, look in the WHS thread, most people wish him the best for the future. We are glad he is leaving the club, OBVIOUSLY. but we (majority of fans) don't hate Kalou THE PERSON. Ferreira has been solid whenever he's played. Excellent early on, after that he was not as good but still gave a 7/10 every game. Ugh already sick of this thread and badboys childish exaggerations so not visiting this thread again either. Ferreira is a DEFENDER. He does his job okay whenever he plays. Most of the goals Kalou has scored would be scored by any half-decent attacking player.

He is a "utility" player. He should be on 30k max but that's not HIS fault. He was just kept along as a backup. Last few seasons when bosingwa was injured and bran was playing at RB so Paulo was kept as a backup and emergency player. He should have been sold off in the summer but again, not his fault.

It's the clubs fault, not his. The club is the one that gave him a new contract. Club is the one that didn't sell him off. If they want to keep him then how is that any of his fault? Think Kalou is on 60k a week. Anelka probably 80k. Malouda the same. Alex maybe 50k? Ferreira 60k, Mikel 50k. Just my guess.

Pretty sure all 4 will be gone by the time August 2012 comes around. But that's due to their age and/or lack of contribution rather than to "make Torres happy" lol

Was it really? I missed the first 10 minutes of the game and only saw that incident on replays and during HT. T they didn't talk about it being offside. Typical though if true. JT. After all the hate and criticism he's received recently (most of it of his own doing, but still) and people questioning not only his leadership but his performances as well, for him to go into a hostile atmosphere against a good team and center-forward in Ba, he was magnificent.

completely agree lol when we signed him I was thinking "oh god what have we got ourselves into" but he's been a great professional during his time here and ideally I'd like to have kept him for one more season but if he wants to go then no hard feelings

I doubt that he was pissed at AVB. He was probably disappointed in his own performance.

I'm still not 100% convinced on Meireles' discipline so I'm not sure if it would be a liability playing him against City where, like you mentioned, midfield will be the key. Today when he came on a couple of times he didn't/was slow tracking back and left holes in front of Romeu. Lampard won't give you much in an attacking sense but he does have discipline to sit and do the simple stuff.

I trust Ramires more than Meireles to do that. Raul doesn't have the complete discipline that Rambo has and can lose concentration and leave gaps

If he stays for 7 seasons then it's not too far fetched to say that we'll end up loving him as much as Gianfranco
