First kill the momentum by taking Hazard off who was running up and down the whole match and causing problems. Then when you need experience in the middle of the park and you have a midfielder who has played more than 400 matches, what does he do? Brings on Yossi Bennayoun! Luiz had nothing left in his tank for the last 20 mins and yet there was no substitution. Anyway, one more day closer to seeing this idiot fuck off.

Player and manager to be equally blamed. Don't know what was all with everyone slipping!! Should have wrapped up the game much earlier in the 2nd half, thank god that Bale freekick didn't do anything bad!! 2 more weeks for tubby and for Yossi Bennayoun!!

Whilst Ferguson is/was undoubtedly one of the finest football managers ever and I have nothing but admiration for him in that regard, it’s a shame he’s never seemed to possess any grace as a human being, at least publicaly (I suspect his external persona is not a fair reflection of him away from the cameras). I don’t imagine that’s ever bothered the Manchester United fans (why should it) but it’s the main reason why I don’t feel any sadness that he’s retiring – I have respect for him, I simply don’t like him.

Ben Smith says English Football might just implode, given who he's told the replacement is. But then, he says a lot of things.

Ferguson has been manager of United ever since i stared watching football. A sad day in English Football. what if Rafa remains his last defeat? That is a dreadful way to go out.

I just hope they don't convince Jurgen Klopp to come and manage them! I really admire him and i think he would be a perfect fir for a club like United.

Yeah, i figured that out but i was under the impression that if you get knocked out of CL, you don't get any money from it but the money earned from Europa is only credited to the club. Looking at the Swiss ramble link BluesMaster posted, club had money coming from participating in UEFA Super Cup (€2.2 million) and the FIFA Club World Cup ($4 million) as well. So, Chelsea is the highest earning club in England for the 2nd successive season. Brilliant.

Andre: "This is a game against a team fighting for the same objectives and it’s a fixture that can put destiny in our hands." Andre: "It’s more than a difficult game, it’s a wonderful opportunity." Andre: "Everyone is very motivated to achieving the result and we go there with that ambition." Andre: "Chelsea arrive at this game having beaten United, with great quality. It’s a challenge but as I said, a chance to show our level." Andre: "Mousa and Aaron will be selected (in the squad), whether or not they will be available is something we prefer to hold onto." Final from Andre, more team news: "Jake Livermore has recovered but we still have Sandro, William Gallas and Younes Kaboul out."
