His twitter: Cristiano Ronaldo @Cristiano 11m All the news about my renewal with Real Madrid are false. Interesting.

In all fairness sneijder's best position is also a second striker: "I don't like playing in central midfield at all,I like to be further forward closer to goal … better a second striker than a central midfielder." Under Mourinho it was almost the same dictating play in the more forward position creating chances galore for Milito,Pandev, eto'o etc. Having said that he has been on a remarkable decline since 2010 and that cant be understated after seeing the heights he was at in 2010. There's a reason all the big teams all of sudden changed their minds in buying him but under Mourinho, the man who always reveres him as instilling him with the condifence to play "against the rest of the world" his form could change but this is all hypothetically speaking very easy but as we know with Torres it really isn't. still if mou wants him for a few mill i wouldn't mind it but he will not be a starting player with mata, hazard and oscar all higher in the pecking order. honestly i'd wouldn;t mind a player like sneijder but he is not priority. Let's go and get a dm and a striker before we look to stock up in postitons we are quite blessed with already.infact i doubt the veracity of this info its easy to put this article together with mou joining a club but i doubt it.

Scary thought but a perfect platform for us to show the world a new Chelsea. rarely get an opportunity to play in this competitions two years in a row so we have to make the best of it.
-
I've never seen someone who changes their view so drastically, I remember you had him on your avatar and were saying he was on of the best strikers you've seen... This isn't just with Falcao similar u turns for a lot of things lol. no offence by the way.

Drogba ready for the game after his bday

Hope to see josh take lampards place eventually. wilshere and mceachran would be good for england too. Cleverly is just like Milner he offers very little and these two can be great for club and country.

Would we of been in the UCL with him? Patience is a virtue and in the long run there was no reason to doubt him being able to bring success to the club. We were in transition and if we waited a little I'm sure the style you wanted couldve happened with success. A month before his sacking we were top of the EPL and were playing great. infact our losses happened after the united game which was a disgrace and the mikel row. a little patience from roman and maybe we couldve got back to winning ways and of progressed further with the style.
-
Nonsense, most of the world reacted to his sacking with shock and anger. Well maybe not shock with Abramovich but his style was getting us results up until the united game. if we stuck with him i'm pretty sure we'd be in a better position then we are today playing some damn good football. If style matters to you so much go and support arsenal (a team who we bettered aestethically under RDM) and there trophiless club or barca. because if it is that perfected tika taka barca style your looking for then forget it, no club has ever played like that before and hiring Guardiola wouldnt of changed that. It's a long process but under rdm we were making progress, using his rash sacking as an argument is almost laughable.

Am I missing something? did we park the bus with Di Matteo this season, the season which RDM first played his style with Chelsea?
-
My point is that our circumstances forced that style and that is by no means indicative of Di Matteo's style. also 3 games, barca and munich, were the only negative style games he played and as i already said, doing otherwise would've been suicide. Madrid couldn't even beat munich at the Allianz arena and barca would've walked all over us too. Di Matteo's style truly showed its face when he had the chance to bring players in, and that style was, again I say, the best in the league.

Let me ask you one question. Who if anybody in the world would you have hired, and do you think they could've got that squad playing beautiful football and win the UCL and FA Cup. Also keep in mind, no ucl win that year would mean no entry this year and therefore no hazard etc. money injection giving the clubs profit for first time and all the other countless repercussions that could of occurred.
-
What a clueless and ignorant statement. before he managed us he had the mk dons and west brom playing some great aesthetic football. I'm sure he would of loved joga bonito with us last season but as caretaker his job was to win and clear the mess AVB left us in. He didn't just do a job, but got us the trophy we always wanted. A double knocking the spuds out of the UCL, could it get better? idk what anyone says but no it was a fairytale and I wouldn't change a thing. Then the next season came and he assembled HIS squad playing a style that many wouldn't disagree in calling the best in the league.

Michael Owen...

people are stupid to write him off after one game but you cant deny the fact, at the time the deal had some logic - we had a slow uncreative squad bar mate. now we have mata, hazard, oscar, moses, piazon, feruz, and de bruyne and kakuta on loan. he has talent and a few years ago was a german international but was very average for a long period after. i do find it hard to see him starting over some of those players and in hindsight promoting some our VERY talented youth could of been a better choice then buying him.

Like Sturridge, Walcott is a striker. He has said this from day 1 and a big reason for him leaving is that he cant play where he wants a strike. I actually think walcott is at a good stage in his career to come to us. He will be good buy for money. being honest for a few years he was waiting to explode, and if you look at his recent record in the past few months the guy actually has made a big jump. Arsenal have done there job as wenger would say, now he just needs to move to a big club.

What alternative is there that could yield the same success? I mean I don't want us to do and arsenal and buy a younger player to wait 2 seasons before they kick off. With a Falcao,Cavani etc. you have a striker in there prime who have all the potential to carry there form to us. Imagine having a strike in RVP form for 3-4 years? Unlike torres these are strikers at there prime, torres was on the downslope for a year before we signed him. I may be a minority but even when we signed him i kept calling for aguero because i knew he could offer us a better player and long term solution. However i do see what your saying, after all what else is our managers and scouts payed for. We don't need to look at a big name to find talent but I do feel a player like Falcao will justify his tag. He was under scruitny in his first few games, costing atleti 40 mill but has taken it to another level. Another big difference is falcao has a very strong mentality and i fully feel he will cope with the pressures that will be on him.
