I dont agree with the way he's going about it though, i.e. by dropping points through bonehead moves. Fans deserve better.
And yeah, a manager at loggerheads with the board. Never a good sign.
Winning a single CWC trophy doesn't give you much room for argument.

None of the CBs we have would make the bench in any of the past title winning teams of the last 10 years in the PL. Yet alone start. 
Tosin was a weird signing all round given he is a squad player at best & we already have about 4 CB at that level.
Trev just unfortunate he’s been priced out of a move several times although the way he was treated nearly every window before last summer was an absolute disgrace as well. He is better than every CB we have at the moment. Not good enough to play every week if we want to be a top top team but a dependable, solid squad player. 
 

Don’t worry… come January/next summer, folk will be creaming themselves over how we signed 5 or 6 players (that 90% doesn’t include a top GK or CB) with a ridiculously low net spend. Without thinking about how bad the recruitment is/has been due to a severe lack of key signings in key positions. Again.
People can’t help but fall for it each window. This club is now merely being run more as a very efficient business as opposed to a competitive football team. That’s what BlueCo want.

IMO, Maresca should have easily won the game against Brentford, maybe played on the counter and soak up pressure against Bayern with a more defensive setup, to at least get a draw against the best team in the group, in an away game. Instead he threw away both games.
Against Man Utd, he threw away the game with his substitutions.

It’s either that or what Juan said, he is at war with the board. I actually hope it’s because he is at war … if it’s to keep T.Georges value up then this club is beyond repair until these owners fuck off for good. Not sure how many people noticed Fofana starting to limp towards the end of the game.
He's likely not going to shake off that injury liability tag, and the club would be sensible to allow him his preferred move to Marseille.
I think he's the main reason the club won't go in for a quality experienced CB to pair with Colwill. Fofana is still first choice, in their heads.

It shows also management and coach are not on the same page. Spending 100m for 2 players and manager decides to play a player you wanted to sell... 

I can accept the mistake from Sanchez and the red card. I can accept taking off Estevao. But from then on, there is nothing my head can understand. The subs were just incredible. Beyond embarrassing.
I honestly want Maresca to complain about the weather and the pitch. That would be his icing on todays cake.
