  1. No doubt a Tuchel decision. For better or worse, this is the effect of giving the coach full control of transfers. Personally not a fan of coaches trying to rejuvenate their former players. It didn't work with Benitez and Torres, nor with Saari and Higuain. And to add to that, theres a depressing list of washed up strikers we signed, including Pato and Falcao. Granted Aubameyang is not as extreme a case. But after seeing Lukaku fail at United, and then subsequently fail with us, you would think we would learn a thing or two., after noting Aubameyangs final season with Arsenal.
  2. I dont think Sterling has been bad by any stretch, but I don't want him wasted in only a false 9 role. In the Tottenham game, their CBs (Dier in particular) were on his heels the whole time. I'm hoping we can sign another attacker that can free him up some more, so that he can have a bigger impact. He might be a better finisher than most of our previous attackers, but by no means the most clinical. He's been known to miss before (as evidenced in his prevjous teams).
  3. If Tuchel is feeling adventurous in the next game (which I feel he should), he will continue with RLC at RWB with Gallagher in the middle. Fully expect him to bring back Azpi at RCB, with RLC in rhe middle.
  4. Also, no retrospective action on Romero it seems, based on the reports. Anthony Taylor will also NOT be barred from officiating Chelsea fixtures. No doubt they will assign him to our next big fixture. Lingering like a bad smell.
  5. Screwed by a striker named Immobile. Couldn't make that one up, lol.
  6. Carragher was very gleeful when we drew and Tuchel/Conte had a fight. Wonder what he thinks of the Nunez headbutt. Is that what he loves about the league? Lmao.
  7. I hope there is one more surprise transfer out of nowhere and it happens to be one of the 3 in this list.
  8. Mike Dean retiring to become the VAR chief is much worse than him staying on the pitch.
  9. Credit where its due. Imperious performance at RWB, and just as good after being shifted to CM. He could circumvent the need for getting additional RB cover. Played against Madrid too, I think in RWB? The only thing left is trying him out as a false 9 like Conte once did.
  10. Yeah that is a bit odd. We wore it last season, but not this one? Usually it's the other way around. Someone in Nike or Chelsea screwed that up.
  11. With the tension between Neymar and Mbappe, should we take a chance on the former? Definitely a more appealing option than Aubameyang or Ronaldo. Wages are a whole other matter though
  12. He's not the first opposition player I've seen get up in the face of James like that. Can't remember which other team did that though. Just love how James coolly shrugs it off like nothing. He did the same last time too.
  13. Gallagher/Loftus Cheek likely to start in CM. Probably the latter, with Azpi returning to CB position and James moving out wide. Need to see more from Mount in terms of end product. I guess Tuchel might still continue with Havertz, but if he doesn't have any direct goal involvement in this game, he should consider giving an opportunity to Broja.
  14. The key thing is to be good against the mediocre opposition too. Next game is key for me. Teams like Pool and Spurs may come up short in the big games, but their stat padding players like Son, Kane and Salah eat the smaller teams for breakfast. Wish we had at least one clinical finisher starting for us.
  15. Would like to see more from Mount. Feel that he's just slightly taken his foot off the pedal after Sterling arrived, instead of being the main man when almost every attack went through him.
  16. Also, I hope we carry this spirit and attitude into the next game. Too often in the past 2 years I've seen Chelsea really turn it up against a big team, only to look lackluster in the next game against average opposition.
  17. Injustice aside, I hope Tuchel keeps it in check. The last thing we want is a cuntish FA banning him for matches because of a post match rant. Does the red card mean that he get's a touchline ban for the next game or 2?
  18. Also, the past 2 games are making me wonder why we went for Sterling instead of Jesus. Don't get me wrong, he's a fine addition to the squad - but he's being wasted in a false 9 role. If we wanted a center forward who could link up play well and also score, why not go for the latter? Unless the plan is still to bring in a goal-scorer, I don't know.
  19. Jorginho played very well. Not sure what you are on about. He made a mistake in the corner, but the real problem was the fact that we couldn't finish. Anthony Taylor has become more clever in these games. He gives things our way at the start and when the game reaches crunch decisive stages, he start bringing out his worst.
  20. 6 extra mins in 2nd half, 5 mins in first half, hardly any cards for the cuntish Spurs players, a bent referee., a biased NBC coverage .... what a fucking cunthole of a game. Spurs and their supporters, and that spitting donkey Carragher can go burn.
  21. If we got him to play LCB, Koulibaly could easily be moved to the right.
  22. Skriniar, Ndicka, off the top of my head.
  23. That's concerning. Especially if we really are planning to break the transfer record just to get him. Again, have to wonder why we aren't linked with other alternatives for CB.
  24. Not that mind boggling. It's probably an as exciting time time as ever to be at Barca. Xavi is the manager, with a seemingly working philosophy, and by hook or crook, he's building a competitive squad. No player gives a shit about the fans. If that were the case, Sterling would refuse to join us. The salary is a sticky point, but as long as Xavi and the Barca board convince him that all issues will be resolved, then why would they protest?
  25. He was a different player then, though. The current version, I'm not sure about. Especially the one that was at Arsenal in his last season.
