  1. Caicedo, Gallagher & Enzo will all benefit by having an experienced CM playing alongside them. I hope there's a smart signing made next season to restore balance in our midfield. The 3 of them together aren't quite there to control a game for 90mins the way they should. That's the main reason why we're having so many see-saw results this season. Good during some games, or some parts of a game, but equally terrible otherwise.
  2. And inexperience in central midfield.
  3. Just need their fanbase to start growing and become more vocal. It's already loud, but nowhere near as pronounced as the fans of the old big 4 clubs.
  4. Posted the highest operating loss of any club in the PL with £249m, but apparently managed to not fall foul of the PL profit & sustainability rules by selling two hotels to BlueCo (themselves?) https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-13304941/Chelsea-hotels-Premier-League-Profit-Sustainability-Rules.html
  5. Avram Grant took us to a final., I remember. People say Potter and Frank dragged teams to the bottom, and use that to show an impact a poor manager can have. The point is, Potter and Frank took a CL winning top 4 team into the relegation zone. This current team is NOT that. To be clear, I don't care much for Poch. I just don't understand how people can ignore the aspect of this poor squad planning.
  6. Good enough and being experienced enough are not necessarily the same thing. You can have quality players that might have great individual stats in some areas, but are collectively poor., because none of them have leadership skills. Not that difficult to comprehend.
  7. Funny thing is. He's probably repeating what Egh-boehly told him.
  8. Damn right it's the central midfield thats the problem. Total lack of experience there and can't believe why this is often overlooked. Buying a world class CB can help, but our piss poor game management, and lack of control over the centre of the park has led to so many embarrassing results, with easy wins turning into draws. Even if Enzo & Caicecdo eventually fulfil their potential, today they are collectively a clownshow. Next season we need to sign an experienced, decent (not necessarily WC), CM to help control matches.
  9. Enzo has been annoying this season. No doubt a very talented player, but his attitude has been so far off it. Instead of picking fights with former traitor players or showing off his jersey after scoring, he should be focusing on his work ethic and controlling his midfield along with his partner. Another one to improve next season. The good thing is, based on his actions, he at least seems committed to remaining in Chelsea for the near future.
  10. It's a midtable side this, it WILL blow hot and cold. People should have come to terms with this so much earlier on this season. Less disappointment for the rest of it. That's the cost of having a team with no game management skills. It still needs to learn it. And not all of it is down to the coach, mediocre he maybe. It's just the inexperience of the players as a whole. Hopefully the ownership won't keep chopping and changing., and allow this current squad to grow with a few key (experienced) additions, and this team can mature next season.
  11. Should be an easy win. And by some margin, to add to the GD. Let's see if this team has improved its game management.
  12. What a finish. No player in our squad that can pull off something like that atm. And this kid is only 18.
  13. Correct. If anyone one top level brass is behind the youth revolution, it's Eghbali. Not Boehly. The former is more of an owner, in fact. With a bigger percentage of ownership stake.
  14. Sad thing is you can't 100% blame individual players. The whole squad is what is really shit. The people who assembled a squad with so many young 20 year-old's, with very few leaders and experience to learn from, have basically made a team that is going to keep choking every now and again. I've long been droning on during the past few months about how this team is extremely unlikely to finish above 8th place this season. That seems to be the case so far. My only hope is that in the next transfer window, after all the sales they (have to) make, they make a few smart, reasonably low transfer-fee, experienced signings, like a James Ward-Prowse for example. I think a few, quality, experienced players in different positions could elevate the squad and get more out of the younger players.
  15. Figurehead is the right word. Because that's all Boehly was. Just the face for the media to beat up in public. The real masterminds are Eghbali, and that bloodhound Wyss. They are behind the youth revolution and mass reductions of the wage bill. Boehly was responsible for experienced big-wage signings like Sterling and Koulibaly. At least most of Boehly's mistakes could be cleared through transfer sales.
  16. In other words..Clownlake's got to sell, sell, sell, this coming window. They are likely going to bank on any homegrown talent for this, and this could include players like Gallagher & Hutchinson, because, unlike last year, there are very few proven top 4 level players left in the squad. Absolute shambles.
  17. Even if I doubt there's going to be significant impact from this, I agree with Clownlake making any information that they have, available upfront sooner rather than later. If there's even a remote chance of punishment from this, the blow will be lessened if the club is more proactive., and cooperates with the Premier League fully. That said, I'm more worried about Clownlake's actions in recent transfer windows. Hopefully there will be no repercussions from that.
  18. Chelsea scouts were at the Portugal Sweden game to monitor Gyokeres. 3rd time this season they've sent scouts to watch him.
  19. Chelsea scouts were at the Portugal Sweden game to monitor Gyokeres. 3rd time this season they've sent scouts to watch him.
  20. Man I hope bloodhound Wyss doesn't decide to move him on for a profit. Hope he doesn't move on either, given the club's current fortunes.
  21. If nothing else, in the next preseason, the Chelsea coach should try a Jackson-Fofana front two for a few
  22. 3 years ago, facing and beating Madrid & City in key CL fixtures. Now, just a training fixture. Congratulations Clownlake on taking the club to never before seen heights.
