I'm pretty sure the Samsung will be made white in the final...the sponsors will want it to be visible from all angles

I think that's contributing to our problems tbh..

I think he's a Naples fan first...in that sense he's a perfect fit for our forums (if you know what I mean)

Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

I didn't mean you were literally watching match highlights and making predictions...I just got the impression that you were overly upset with the recent run of form and lost all hope. If you rationally believe that we are going to lose our next match then I have no qualms about it

I've honestly found that argument pretty annoying myself. Whenever something goes wrong, the "get rid of the old guard" excuse comes up, and people start posting their FIFA 12 lineups for future Chelsea. Its clear the "old guard" is getting on, and need more support from their younger team-mates each season, but the fact is the quality of this support has declined each season. Also, we are missing two key players,: a speedy winger, and a creative central mid.

The Dutch Kit....
-
I think players find it more difficult to play at home these days...
-
This kit looks more royal blue than some of the recent ones...love it.

Maybe it was another thread/match...if that's the case my apologies. However, I can't figure out how you were close with that, seeing as how the score could have easily been in our favor. Granted we've been playing like shit, but that's bordering pessimism there..

The decisive moment in our season will start in Italy
Blue Armour replied to BLionheart's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Only the senior players would attempt something like that...but unfortunately, the way the squad is built, the playing team is still forced to look up to them for guidance and inspiration in matches. Its unfortunate, but if he wants results this season, AVB and Di Matteo have do a better job in getting more out of the senior members. Our young budding stars like Mata and Sturridge, are not quite ready to hold their own yet and are largely performing supporting roles in the current setup. -

If that exactly happens, then it really is proof that AVB/di Matteo are poor at motivating the players... -
I'm of two minds about this...This game could be make or break, and to be honest, Bertrand is still learning his trade, especially when it comes to games in Europe. Of course he should play in order to gain experience, but he hardly had a chance in the group stages, so it might not be the best to throw him into this kind of game...With Bosingwa,...I needn't say anything more
-
Forgot about that...and yes, in that sense it was an odd move..but then again Mata looked pretty bad in the 2nd half..that penalty miss rattled some of his nerves I think, and if Mata can't attack, well...he certainly can't help defend so...
-
A couple of pages ago, I think you said 2-0...what happened..you saw another one of our recent match highlights?

Either Lamps retires a hero, or plays long enough to become a villain...hopefully Super-Frank will take advice from Batman!
-
I hope he did that only because he wanted to keep Mata fresh for the CL game...in that sense it was a good move.

Between Lampard and Meireles, I'd rather choose Frank....The only thing Meireles has over Lampard is that he doesn't give away the ball under pressure, but he has become poor at just about everything else. His only contribution to attack are those ridiculous shots he takes from distance.. The next time AVB chooses Lampard he should ask to him sit deep like he did once in pre-season, and concentrate on building up play. control the tempo and attempt long shots like he used to, rather than go near the final third and lose the ball. This means he won't be able to make many runs into the box, but we really need someone to direct the central midfield. Essien is another option of course, but he's still on the road to recovery.

This is definitely a player Mourinho would have loved to have in his team..His personality is excellent...hard worker, no-nonsense defender...doesn't have the pace or dribbling ability of Bosingwa, but easily outclasses him because of his superior tactical nous....I never thought much of him when I started watching him play against Liverpool and Barcelona in the CL, but he has definitely won me over during the past two seasons...
-
Its funny how a stadium that sounds like a dog whistle can suddenly start wailing Mourinho's name out loud.....hypocrites..I remember when some of them were singing "Fuck you, Mourinho" when Inter came visiting

From what I saw, Drogba was also getting frustrated like Torres because of the crap from midfield. Certainly he can do more than the Spaniard in such situations, but even he was getting pissed off. So many times I saw him bend his body waiting to chase the through ball, only to end up raising his arms in despair because the midfielder (eg. Meireles) played a sideways pass. Then there was the annoying long ball tactic. Just because there's a person with Drogba 11 on his shirt, doesn't mean you keep hoofing up the ball every oppurtunity. And if AVB ever thinks of choosing Meireles to start, I hope he thinks again...because between the two (Lampard ) the Portuguese is far worse atm...

Yep...just in time to give the manager a selection headache...
