  1. And WTH is this all about: http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/football/889259-john-terry-could-be-stripped-of-england-captaincy-as-fa-debates-fate
  2. Looks like Rio Ferdy 5 might be getting ready for a confrontation : http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/4105716/EURO-TEAM-FEARS.html
  3. In fact I don't think it includes his transfer fee, at least not all of it. I think entire sum is paid in installments to Liverpool
  4. Yeah, do you remember how Cole supposedly berated the City players after the game? That and the way Drogba and co. celebrated after the match, made me feel that our season was going to kick-start from that point...Instead its been all downhill after that...
  5. The results we had against City and Valencia are the ones that irritate me the most this season...Those games showed what levels the current team is capable of reaching this season, but we're simply too complacent to keep it going.
  6. Another Rob Beastly article...will this guy ever stop spewing fairy tales?
  7. Yeah, that's something I wish could have been handled better this season. Cole has been playing almost non-stop ever since that ankle injury in 2010...In fact, I think he got himself carded on Tuesday just to get some rest!
  8. I normally hate criticizing our players, and after this, the comment I made in the last page just makes me feel sick. I take it back, and just hope Fernando and the club can just figure out something that works best for both. I honestly think the best solution right now would be for him to return to Spain, but he still has a job to do here and I hope he does it better from now on.
  9. Did I ever say he is totally useless? All I'm saying is Malouda was three times the player he is now, when he used to actually beat defenders to cross and shoot...he used to be involved in a lot more goal-scoring opportunities in the past because of that, whereas now even sunday league defenders can nick the ball off him...Even his finishing has become poor...
  10. He's too old...there are a few players who can perform well past their 30's, but Malouda has just lost the pace and agility which he used to dribble past defenders...take the dribbling out of his game and Malouda, isn't very effective...still a good passer at times, but he can barely keep possession in the middle of the park nowadays.
  11. For a second there I thought you were talking about Giggs
  12. We can have an overhaul or whatever next season, but for now I just hope Drogba comes back and knocks that Spaniard out of the starting 11. Even if we won't win all our upcoming games, I can at least rest easy knowing the guy will try to make something happen out of nothing. Its a lot a better than seeing that blonde struggle with the ball and our weakened midfield.
  13. Its embarrassing that none from the current crop can displace that shadow...
  14. Do you honestly think a change in formation is going to help the striker up front? The only difference will be that Meireles/Mikel and Romeu/Essien will play further behind...don't think that' going to help with the midfield service
  15. This I do agree with. Doesn't mean Torres has been great, but the service is certainly poor.
  16. Might not be any better than Torres, but at least it won't be like trying to teach an old dog new tricks....
  17. That's my point Manpe,... thing is with the spine of the team absent, that's the best thing that we can hope for in such matches... In Terry, Lampard and Drogba you basically have the spine of the squad from 2007 till now. Till now, I haven't seen even one player that has joined us go on to become part of that. We've made good, talented additions to the squad, but none of them are any more than accessories. You would expect old heads like Cole,Torres and Malouda to give some direction and impetus to the team but they just can't. They're not the kind of player which Mourinho said: "can go on forever"., because none of them have the mindset
  18. Isn't anyone at least a bit happy that we drew? I mean, how many of you expected that kind of equalizer? Considering our general form this season and our poor standards this year, this is a great result...a great result, considering we were playing one of the most in-form teams which have already taken points off other in-form sides like Tottenham... With the entire core of our squad, namely Drogba, Lampard and Terry absent, who in their right minds could have expected any better? Sure, the starting 11 today was probably not the best selection, but even with best 11 available, I don't think the result could have been much better
  19. Right now are standards are so low, there are a lot of suitable candidates
  20. Drogba,Lampard,Terry absent...Cole and Cech losing their heads...just what we didn't need..
  21. Torres will score in this match...May not mean anything, but he will score
