He was fantastic when he was fully fit. Still remember when we used to have nigh guaranteed goals from both left wing and right wing with him and James flying down the pitch.

Even if other clubs have had better transfer windows ( and IMO they did), Im hoping Chelsea still quietly upsets the big boys this season and gives Liverpool a bigger run for their money compared to last season. Just like how Joao Pedro is quietly proving to be THE difference maker this season. The amount of press and fawning of opposition fans and pundits over other clubs like Liverpool had become insufferable over the past year. Until the dust settles, I'll keep hoping that we can stick it to the lot of them, just like we did in the CWC.

Ekitike has been one of their best players so far, this season. Doubt he will stay on the bench., and for that transfer fee, doesn't make sense.

5 set piece goals from the 7. (I'll still take that though, we have looked deadly from corners and if Arsenal can win games that way, why not us.) We still need to better from open play. Hopefully Palmer returning, can bring that back.

When you put it that way, it looks awful. Transfer policy seems like its to throw crap at the wall and see what sticks. And try to make a profit along the way. Tbf, they do get it right at times. Just wish they would take full advantage of this and build up on it with sure fire signings that can elevate the current squad.

Eden Hazard is one of the Premier League’s best ever players

Real Madrid with Zidane might have been the club of his dreams at one point, but there's no question which club he values more now. -
I'm sorry, but that's just ridiculous at this level of management and when there is so much money and people's careers involved. An injury is ALWAYS a risk in this sport. That's why you have squad planning to make sure you have enough backup options. What would've happened if Delap got injured after Jackson had left and officially started playing for Bayern? What would our sporting directors have done then? The point is, they should not even have considered letting him leave if there was no one else incoming.

St Etienne fan. Wonder whom he was supporting here.

Well done

Enzo to take the penalty? Interesting
-
So he's gone? Or they backed off?
-
Another corner win. Thank you Joao Pedro
-
Brain dead move by Enzo F to ruin a counter. He hasn't been at his usual level since the start of the season.
-
Great block Caicedo.

So apparently the reason according to Maresca to drop James, was partly because of fitness reasons, but mainly because he believes in Gusto. Embarrassing really. No point in keeping James around as luxury sub. Might as well make a profit.
-
Stupid reaction by the referee, but what's up with Enzo F. So careless on the ball.
-
Not to worry. We have Garnacho to solve everything

Hamstring vs cruciate ligament injury.
-
Tosin awful positioning.

Probably smarter to just hold on to Jackson. Delap will be out for a bit. But not that long, ala Colwill. And these guys haven't bothered getting a CB replacement. Don't think we will get a replacement just for Delap.
-
Well. Now it looks like we have a real confirmed injury. Delap.
-
Might as well just sell him if he's only going to stick around as a sub. I get dropping him for every other game. Or at worse, dropping him if the opposition is low tier. Anyway, there could have been another reason for Maresca to drop James. Might find out after the game.

Needs to match the blue of the Osgood jersey

Hilarious the SportingID have to tell the club how to better place the CWC badge. Looks better than leaving it bang in the middle between the Nike and club logos.

What happens if Nknuku and Jackson remain, and there are no further incomings? Will the club still be foul of the UEFA books? Would leaving a player or two out of the registration for UEFA competition mitigate this?
