  1. Imagine Disasi having a Rudiger like form transformation after returning.
  2. Remember when Morata scored on his debut, then soon after scored a hattrick (with right foot, left foot and header) against Stoke...? Yeah, it sucks to remember all of that. At least Joao Pedro seems to have a better mindset compared to Lukaku and Morata.
  3. Surprised they didn't include Fabregas on that list.
  4. And from that elite group, Sterling is still collecting 300k a week doing nothing, and Mudryk is pursuing a career change because of drugs. It would be hilarious, if it weren't so sad.
  5. Maresca isn't blameless. But we were all questioning some of the moves (and lack of moves in some areas) made during the summer window. The base of the team starts at CB and GK, and they've neglected that part of the team since the beginning, only adding barely passable members to the squad over the years. Tosin, Badiashile, and co are only squad level players at best. You've also admitted before that we're weak in the CB department. Instead they go and spend excess amounts of money on project players like Gittens and Garnacho. They pretended to go after a GK like Maignan, just to generate buzz, when their intent all along was just to stick with Sanchez. And now there's talk in the press claiming that their intent was only ever to be also-rans in big competitions. Not intention to truly challenge.
  6. It's the way of the Arsenal, the way of the Wenger. As long as you're finishing as also-rans in major competitions, getting that broadcast revenue, who cares about the acutal trophy? At the same time, you can showcase certain players, give them minutes to demonstrate their capability to a decent club, and sell them for a profit, ala Madueke. It's a good investment vehicle. So good, you dont even need a shirt sponsorship.
  7. Don't give them ideas. Imagine them bringing him on as an interim till end of the season
  8. Miserable fuckers. People should be marching into their office instead to tell them to wake up and stop wasting funds on second rate, no purpose buys. The team has weak foundations, with a few good players tossed in here and there. Nothing more.
  9. How our sporting directors assess injury crock center backs Fofana and Badiashile every transfer window :
  10. Would not be surprised if Tyrique is going to start. That goal midweek is going to gain him another 90mins. Yay.
  11. Concussion is no joke, and I hope Fofana recovers well enough, but its a sadly comical state of affairs with this guy. Always out.
  12. Would be shameful if they're quietly pulling the rug out from under Maresca. Don't get me wrong. He has been making a lot of bonehead moves on his own lately, but these decision makers are big part of the reason this squad is still subpar after 3 years.
  13. Winstanley spotted sniffing around the Brighton locker room.
  14. Yup, very obvious now from his comments he's at war with the directors and the board (rightfully) I dont agree with the way he's going about it though, i.e. by dropping points through bonehead moves. Fans deserve better. And yeah, a manager at loggerheads with the board. Never a good sign. Winning a single CWC trophy doesn't give you much room for argument.
  15. That Maresca doesn't have a clue about prioritizing matches, and how to setup a team for multiple fixtures. It was a dumb move to mess up the lineup against Brentford. IMO, Maresca should have easily won the game against Brentford, maybe played on the counter and soak up pressure against Bayern with a more defensive setup, to at least get a draw against the best team in the group, in an away game. Instead he threw away both games. Against Man Utd, he threw away the game with his substitutions.
  16. 3 games, and the group of Tosin, Chalobah and Fofana have been awful., with each of them making mistake. If Maresca wants to reduce that points gap, he better try something different with his backline. Bring back Josh Acheampong or Hato to play in the CB role. The other 3 are squad level. Tosin keeps backing off from the attacker in every 1 on 1, Chalobah can get caught napping on occasion, and Fofana is always knackered, unable to keep up with pacy attackers.
  17. It's clear that both the club and Maresca are in disagreement. He wanted a CB this summer after the Colwill injury. The club tells him that he can use the fantastic Badiashile and Fofana after they repair their legs at the shop.
  18. Long contracts are biting them in the butt No wonder they can't move Sterling and a bunch of others Injury crock Fofana is also going to join their dungeon squad. No way does it look like they'll get anywhere close to 70mill for Fofana again. 7 year contact and he's barely featured in 3 seasons. What a joke.
  19. Not sure how many people noticed Fofana starting to limp towards the end of the game. He's likely not going to shake off that injury liability tag, and the club would be sensible to allow him his preferred move to Marseille. I think he's the main reason the club won't go in for a quality experienced CB to pair with Colwill. Fofana is still first choice, in their heads.
  20. 7 goals conceded in a week, in 3 games. I bet the board's solution will be to bring in another couple of no-name wingers to compensate.
  21. Not admitting to his mistake in the post match. Just going on about how Old Trafford away is tough for any club. As if we were facing off against Ferguson's United. "The reason we removed Pedro & Estavao, is because they attack with 5 players always, and we defend with 4. We can defend with 4, when its 11 v 11. But 11 v 10, we need width and a back 5." Sure, but why not change anything for 30 mins after they went down to 10 men. Mahlo was apparently brought on for Garnacho because, Garnacho was tired, lol.
  22. They probably saw that Garnacho was getting booed by the Stretford end, and decided to protect the BlueCo baby.
