Not sure how people can continue to defend Sanchez. He has his qualities, but all of that is worth nothing if he keeps making errors like this.

I wish he would go back to rotating his squad a bit more, esp. with the attackers., not necessarily the defense. When he did that in the early part of the season, it felt like everyone was chipping in with goals and challenging for places. On the flip side, he has chopped and changed the back line with every game, ever since Fofana got injured. For a top side, you would rarely want to see your back 4 change drastically each game, unless there were superior defenders being brought into the lineup.

I stick by what I said here. The problem is not that Jackson is in the squad. He links up better with Palmer than anyone else. And the first goal was largely from his hold up play. The problem is that we don't have good competition for goal scoring from anyone else. Guiu? Nkunku? Don't make me laugh. Goals have dried up all over the pitch. It's either Palmer or no one. We need another forward. And before that we need to get a proper CB. Defence first.

Expect Gusto to start at RB., with Maresca saying that James can't play 2 games a week.

Whether people believe in Jackson or not, you cant deny we need a quality 2nd option in the striker department. It's not as glaring an issue as getting a quality CB, but the drop off in quality if Jackson is unavailable, is abysmal. And that's even considering we have Nkunku, who unfortunately, does not seem to be in it.

Couldn't watch this game, but from what I gather, the overall play was good., but let down again in key moments. Looks like it's going gearing up to be a tough finish for top 5, barring any additional strengthening during the transfer window. This team should have enough in the tank to finish above Nottingham forest, and top 5 will hopefully be enough to secure a CL place.

Please start Gusto in RB. If not Gusto, then James. Or maybe even James & Gusto. No more CBs in fullback roles, unless their name ends in Ivanovic.

We have Palmer., who is up there with those players in terms of stats and performance, but he has been alone in the past 3 games, with no one else stepping up to the plate. We are overly reliant on him, in the past few games. Liverpool have Salah in front, and Van Dijk in defense. Our backline is terrible. We were getting by this season because our attack was good, and everyone was chipping in with goals, not just Palmer. In today's game, if our defense could have held together even once, we could have won. But no, you have someone like Disasi, the oldest member of that starting 11, goofing up like he did. And Tosin and Colwill are soft CBs. We need at least one player with real steel playing in the backline.

This happened in our highest ever scoring season too. That season though, we would bounce back quickly from disappointing results, as title winning sides should. We're not in a title race, but we so need to win our next game. I don't think this young team and inexperienced manager has the acumen to rescue itself if the winless streak continues.

Yep. I think the weak defending from our CBs made him look even better. That being said, he definitely IS a type of forward we don't have. And that's a useful option to have, ala Giroud

Agreed. Not sure if this was a reaction to the last game, but not switching out Nkunku and Disasi after the break, after that lousy first half, was bad. Too soon to say if team harmony was affected after rumblings from Madueke and co, even with back to back defeats, but the last 2 matches have been poor.

Spurs are super predictable. I still fancied us at 1 down to get a win, today. 2 down against this low block team is a tough proposition. And their GK seems to be on a world saving mission.

Palmer would have to be moved out of position. I don't mind that in SOME games where he's being double or triple man marked, but in this one his influence is too much. And Nkunku, like Madueke, has been next to anonymous today.
