Re : Mount, I always felt that once he won the holy grail that is the CL.. he's focused more on his image/brand rather than Mount the footballer. He's always been a genz tiktoker a somewhat of an entertainer, nothing wrong with it.. just something I see.

He reads the game so well. Not only is he technically good, his football brain is second to none. It always amazes me the speed his mind takes to make a decision based on play. Almost always there at the right time. What a player.

Great for a 25 man squad, not so much as a starter. But what I like about him is his attitude, he may not have the best technical ability but his attitude is useful in a team sport.

How people don't see that Maatsen was lifting his whole arm to indicate offside rather than him trying to block it ala volleyball, eludes me. Also, very happy with what I have seen so far. The players actually look hungry, something that was non existent from last season. So many positives to build on, feeling a little more optimistic than before.

Seems like Poch picked a team based on personel.. it's all good playing a back 4 at pre season, playing a back 4 against Liverpool when your only quality CM is Enzo is dangerous. Enzo is not the fastest guy aswell, seems like once we get our targets in, we would mostly play with a back 4. We're adapting for now.

Whether we get him or not, this has been an amazing rollercoaster and a great read..

£110M that is a LOT of money... even more than Enzo.. who we bought not even a year ago, people seem to forget that.. Yes it was a bit frustrating that we were chasing him for months only to lose out, but who would have guessed that somebody would pay more than £90M for him. The board was just trying to get their money's worth and I can see why they choose to hold off on the £100M bid, tbh for me I would have not even got past the £85M mark as I thought that that was a fair and realistic price for him. Fair play to Brighton they got their price. We move on.

Brighton had to outright reject our offer for Caicedo after we outright rejected their measly offer of £30M for Colwill and then told them he is not for sale.

They really do want Colwill don't they. Hopefully our board are sensible and do not offer them more than £85M, which is more than fair. If Brighton reject that, then I think we should move on. 85 million pounds is a LOT of money. We don't want to get rinsed by them again. In the meantime our board should also focus on scouting for alternatives, one which compliments Enzo.

Poch should start Hall for the next friendly, keep our options open because Cucu is a mess.

I actually want to see a "senior" midfielder come in before we sell Gallagher, or at least have agreed terms with. Enzo will be our only senior midfielder left and just worry that other clubs will raise their price because we are looking.

I hope that that was a pure mistake by Colwill because if it had just a tiny hint of him gifting the pen because he felt sorry for his old team, that would be very unprofessional. Also Cucu on their third goal gave me flashbacks of last season. Always so rash and getting easily tricked.
