Hopefully he doesn't think he can just waltz in to the starting eleven as everyone needs to earn their spot. Also for him to get the chance to learn and play alongside one of the best still around is something that one shouldn't pass up on.
I think we are taking our time with Caicedo because we don't want to get rinsed again by Brighton ala Cucu. Also the fact that Brighton had an agreement with Caicedo that if a reasonable offer comes in they would not get in the way, helps us in that matter. £85M is a very reasonable offer, imagine Caicedo would not be too happy if Brighton did not hold up to their end of the deal, not to mention the message it would send to the other players.
Azpi's goodbye was from the heart, Mason's close to no feeling in it and looked like a hostage video. The difference is night and day.
Time for Reece to step up. Azpi learned from JT and hopefully Reece has learned from Azpi and Silva.
So reading around we are going for 2 midfielders (hopefully exprerienced ones), a starting striker and a goalkeeper that could challenge Kepa, let's see what the new board are made of. Although they have done alright so far regarding the sales.
Reminds me actually, there's been nothing about Arsen for a while now... any chance we can use our connection with Strasbourg to purchase him through there?
If Lukaku wants to leave so badly, he should get his beloved Inter to work something out for him and not a measly loan. Worst case scenario, we just send him to the reserves, that ego of his needs trimming down.
Lukaku is hands down THE worst employee a company could hire. Unprofessional, huge ego, low work rate, only works when he wants to. Let him rot in the reserves, fine him big if he doesn't show up to training.
It is quite worrying that our most senior attacker is going to leave and leave us with 21 year olds leading the line. Albeit Kai has not delivered week to week but I hoped and wanted to see him work with Poch for at least a season.
Although getting £60M for him is fairly good.
