Exactly. Ivan has average technical abilities so anyone that plays on the right suffers from lack of consistent passing, crosses etc. Luiz has pace, flair, tekkers and aggression.

Fullbacks like to get foward - David Luiz likes to get forward. Why hasn't anyone even considered playing him at RB or LB? Personally I believe that Luiz would be worse in the 'double pivot' (oh, how I despise that term) because he would bomb forward all the time just like Lamps. Just like Lamps people would just complain.

Fletcher gets no recognition at all for his abilities. It's a crying shame because he so talented and is hands down the best Scottish player in the world right now. I believe Messi is very egotistical but he is just more reserved in front of the media and public unlike Ricardo Kaká who I imagine is one of the nicest people on the planet. Besides the media white washes and sometimes ignores Messi's transgressions. For instance during the Champions League final at Wembley against ManUtd after Messi scored he ran along and punted the absolute fuck out of a boom mic. Nobody batted and eyelash yet if someone like Ronaldo or Terry did something like that the media would be all over it saying things like "Ronaldo thinks he can do whatever he wants", "Terry has no respect for technology" among other terrible and pointless headlines. My example wasn't the greatest but I hope you understand where I'm coming from.

Regardless I rate Ramos higher than most of Chelsea's current defenders. Ashley Cole is pretty much the only player I'd rate higher than Ramos (maybe Cahill too, but that is pushing it).

I couldn't find a topic on this bloke but I'm sure Chelsea have tried numerous times to sign him. I've always liked this guy and I believe he would sure up the defence and if needed the midfield. He can have violent outbursts but he is a very solid and reliable CB/RB/CDM. The best Spanish defender after Carles Puyol, in my opinion anyway.
