  1. Yes I agree, Hummels is a the top. But I admire BVB a lot and I hate to see them weakened. I like to see them challenge Bayern Munich at every instance and the longer they keep their current crop the longer they can continue to win titles in Germany. They are in an incredible period and I'd hate to see end due to the greed of other clubs. I agree with the Luiz comparison however I believe Ramos' concentration levels are superior to Luiz's. Ramos is far more likely to kick someone in the head but at least he doesn't fall asleep and have mind lapses as often as Mr Stickhistongueoutalot.. And Ramos is very flexiable tactically, as he is able to play at Centreback, Fullback and Centre Midfield.
  2. Ramos' relationship with José has degraded further. Both are doing and saying some weird things lately. This is really strange: http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2914/champions-league/2012/10/02/3420341/mourinho-sergio-ramos-is-a-top-professional-but-i-get-on?source=breakingnews http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/soccer-dirty-tackle/sergio-ramos-wore-mesut-%C3%B6zil-shirt-under-own-184415335--sow.html http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/oct/02/real-madrid-jose-mourinho-sergio-ramos?newsfeed=true
  3. If Cole leaves than yes, if not than no.
  4. I want to see Azpilicueta, Marin and Sturridge start for this game. I haven't seen much of those players yet.
  5. While reading that article, a certain song kept buzzing around my mind. Intriguing, very intriguing.
  6. I fell asleep during half time so I will not vote for a MOTM.
  7. They would, reggardless: Real and City came knocking for Terry. Real wanted Cole. José and Inter Milan wanted Lampard. And I believe Real made quite a few enquires for Drogba.
  8. Reasons why he wouldn't suceed: 1. Because he relies on being the vanguard of the attack. Everyone plays for Falcao to score. Last season Atletico scored 53 goals with Falcao scoring 24 of them. That is roughly 45% of the total goals scored by Atletico. I don't care what anyone says that kind of stat is not acceptable at a club like Chelsea, to rely on one plays so heavily is foolish. What if he is injured? Or what if he is suspended for a few games? It virtually renders the team incapable of scoring goals. 2. If everyone is playing for Falcao, than the attack becomes somewhat predicatable. Like Arsenal last year, sure Van Pesie was very successful scoring 30 goals but when you looked at the Arsenal starting XI a person would know exactly where the goals would be coming from: Van Persie. Right now Chelsea is very unpredicatable, will Oscar score? Or will Hazard? Maybe Mata will bag a few. With Falcao on board every team in damn Premiership will know that Falcao is the dangerman and every player will be looking for him at all times. He might score 30 goals in the season, but at what cost? Mata, Oscar and Hazard chipping in for a combined 15 goals? 3. He is a goal scorer that is it, a pure striker so don't expect any tactical flexibility from him. He can't split defence with a pass, he can't cross well, he isn't a great dribble and his first touch is bit rough at times. At least he can score with his head and both of his feet. He may be one of the best goal scorers in the world but to place him in the top three players in the world is very naive in the grand scheme of things. I want a striker that can do everything, like Drogba. They dont'need to play like him just have an overall balanced game like his is/was. Benzema at times can be this type of player, so can Jovetic or even Danny Boy. Okay expert, why would he suceed? http://soccernet.esp...-madrid?cc=3436 http://www.squawka.com/players/falcao
  9. Why does everyone believe that Hazard will jump ship to Spain one day? If Hazard is, then we may as well make those plans applicable for Mata, Oscar, Moses, Azpilicueta, Luiz, Marin etc. We didn't sell Terry, Cole, Lampard and Drogba to the highest bidders, so what makes this generation any different?
  10. Can you prove that Falcao would score consistently? No you can't, you can only speculate. So don't be to sure. Does it matter how many goals the number '9' at other clubs scores? I'd rather be at the top of the table with a a number 9 that score 10 goals a season than third with a number 9 that scores 30. Rooney scored 27 woop de do, how many trophies did ManU win? Van Persie scored 30 big bloody deal how many trophies did Arsenal win? Sure the ManCity strikers scored a bag full goals each, but were they consistent? Hell no. Our rivals won shit last year with a striker bagging huge goals and the one that did had four strikers playing at different times with huge levels of inconsistency.
  11. I say Chelsea win 3-0. But that doesn't tell the whole story, there will be a lot of scares and they will dominate periods of the match, the only thing that will let them down is poor finishing. They've nothing to lose and everything to gain, so the will came at Chelsea like a spider monkey on mountain dew.
  12. I'd rather 10-15 goals from a handful or different players than one that scores 30+ a season. For Atletico de Madrid Falcao has 10 goals while their next highest scorer Turan has 2. They play for Falcao and Falcao only. I'm not knocking his talent but that is one of the reasons he scores so many at Atletico (penalities boost his stats too). I think it's a negative mentality to rely on one player so much.
  13. Messi has nearly scored all of Argentina's goals in his last 6 games with them. Not only that but they haven't lost with him this year. The National Team Messi argument is no longer relevant. In the last year he has scored 11 times with Argentina, in the previous six he had scored 17 times. Hell, Rooney, Roanldo, Del Piero, Totti, and many other players never reach their standard with their respective national teams. It's a terrible argument and I cringe when people use it. Matt Le Tissier has 8 caps for England, yet many will say he is one of the best English players of all time, just look at what he did with Soton!
  14. The team that scores the most goals has a good chance of winning. However the team that scores less usually loses.
  15. If he does choose to leave at the end of his contract, I won't begrudge him. However I do hope that Lucas Digne is brought in as deputy to LB, behind Ryan Bertrand.
  16. He also scored two more headed goals than any other player last season. He scored seven with he noggin.
  17. I'd rather a system that gets the best out of all players. I disagree with the statement Barcelona plays to get the best out if Messi. They play to get the best out of their very technical players. A lot of players just lazily look to Messi to win games and get the out of holes. Messi makes the system better not vice versa. A better example would be Ruud van Nistelrooy at United, almost everything was focused on Horseface scoring.
  18. My only regret is that Sparky's team was not deliberatly dismantled and annihilated each minute for ninety minutes. Like a well played game of chess, each turn should have furthered their demise into losing their king.
  19. You "here"? Not often does a post fall flat on it's face due to one typo. However it was good for a laugh though, given the irony.
  20. Hey! Don't steal my thunder Dr. Thunder, I already mentioned not all shots are on target!
  21. A lot of crosses, through balls and shots are ineffective so I suppose they should be stopped too. Since only kids enjoy 'these type of things' I suppose players should stop using elasticos, step overs, rainbow heel flicks etc.
  22. Good lad. What an insult. Why if someone said that with negative implications regarding my integrity I'd probably kill myself. Joking aside, it doesn't really matter who started it in the end the only fact remains is that both parties are guilty and both exasperated the situation.
  23. Steve is and administrator; not a moderator. But I'm sure you knew that already and it was just a mere typo.
