  1. Doesn't matter when it happened it is till what France is 'about'. Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot invented the automobile. http://en.wikipedia....s-Joseph_Cugnot The fact that you dismiss French cinema is foolish. Gaspar Noe (he is an Argentine but all of his films are in French), Jean-Pierre Juenet, Jacques Tati, Jean-Luc Godard are just a few fantastic French directors. I bet you will dismiss something like Japanese cinema next.
  2. Ever since FIFA World Player of the Year and FFF's Ballon D'or were merged FIFA Ballon D'or has been awarded to the best individual player. Some take it seriously some think it's a wank. Little Messi has been FIFA's golden child for a while now and I think he shouldn't have won all three awards. The last ten winners looks like this: 2011 Lionel Messi 2010 Lionel Messi 2009 Lionel Messi 2008 Cristiano Ronaldo 2007 Kaka 2006 Fabio Cannavaro 2005 Ronaldinho 2004 Andriy Shevchenko 2003 Pavel Nedved 2002 Ronaldo In 2009 I think Lionel Messi was hands down the world's best player he was instrumental in Barcelona's sextuplet. However I don't believe he was the best player in 2010 or 2011. Sure he recorded and astronomical amount of goals and assists but I don't think he was the most important or instrumental player. In 2010 Wesley Sneijder basically carried the Netherlands to the World Cup final where the lost to Spain and was one of the main forces behind Inter Milan's and Italian footballs first ever Treble. Diego Milito is also a good shout for that year because he was even more instrumental in Inter Milan's success scoring 22 goals in the league, the winning goal for the Coppa Italia and the two goals in Inter Milan's Champions League triumph over Bayern Munich. Winner Diego Milito. Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba also deserve a shout for this year. The 2011 winner should definitly been Xavi. He hit his best form this year scoring more goals then he has ever and assisting quite a few also. He dictated play better than ever (when Cesc wasn't on the pitch) and I just don't think Barca could have survived without him. They look so much more vulnerable when Xavi isn't playing, they give up possession more and look more vulnerable on the counter. David Villa would be second for me. With Messi pushing him to the wing he sitll managed to score 20+ goals and a lot of important ones too. My winners: 2011 Xavi 2010 Diego Milito 2009 Lionel Messi Who do think will win in 2012?
  3. The French Revolution Napoleon Wine Cheese The Automobile Champagne Zidane Cannes Film Festival le Tour de France FIFA (lol) Cinema
  4. I think it's because they are French... " I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?"
  5. The Borussia Dortmund site is finally in English.
  6. Marseille showing a bit of restraint for once.
  7. Valencia 2000 to 2003 was a great team. Good enough to knock Real Madrid and Barcelona of the pedestal.
  8. Everyone hates to say it but it's kind of surprising the Arsenal ' Invincibles' didn't win the Champions League.
  9. Lamps will make 200 goals. There isn't even a discussion.
  10. Lyon have pretty good record with nice kits. Look at their European and Home kits last year, fantastic. But I also really like this one.
  11. It could be bad, but in Australia ' bent' or 'bender' isn't really used as homosexual slang often so I don't know. It definitly better than Stefan Kuntz, though.
  12. Either of the Bender boys would be good for the Midfield. I always thought Sven was the better of the two but Lars is in the one in die Mannschaft.
  13. Doesn't matter, he is more than capable of playing as striker, he didn't magically forget how to play in that position.
  14. Schurrle has only played on the wing for Bayer Leverkusen at Mainz he was played at CF.
  15. He has under 50 Bundesliga appearances to his name so far. No denying his talent but I think he would benefit from more time in Germany. You know, more time to mature as a player.
  16. Hmmm, he would be a good signing. A bit inexperience but he could be very good. Debuchy is still my number one at the moment but time will tell.
  17. It would just be the bust the shirt is being held up by. It doesn't flare on Xabi Alonso.
  18. It's a good thing I speak French otherwise I would have a lot of trouble reading that...thank god for online translators. You wrote that? Amazing, that is longer than some of novels I've read! I imagine the writing was much more attractive before it was butchered by Google. Just out of personal curiosity, it there a French team that you follow or followed in the past? I remember Peace saying he didn't care much for the Ligue 1 but he was fond of Marseille because he lived close to the city of Marseille. I'm just always curious about what teams people support in their home country.
  19. It feels like he would be bought for the sake of being bought. I don't see the hype about this guy. Junior Hoillet on the other hand...now that is a player I wouldn't mind.
  20. I collect jerseys and I must say I'm tempted to buy an 'Alonso 14' or a 'Higuian 20'. Goalkeeper shirt.
  21. Fulham were stacked with wingers already, so I have no idea why he was loaned to there. Coyle is and always was an idiot. The only reason Sturridge and Wilshere got chances at Bolton is due to good ol' English bias. If he is bought I feel that it would restrict other youngster too much.
  22. Because he is already bought. Why splurge £4m on young guy when there is already a youngster waiting to take his chance?
  23. Nigeria's biggest potential in the Forward department? Let's turn him into a Defensive Midfielder that won't get the credit he deserves for years.
