Well, it depends on the sports. Basketball, no...it relies far too much on height and speed. Women's softball and baseball could possible rival men's. As well as cricket. You also have to appreciate that High School/College level sports is a phenomenon almost exclusively limited to the United States. Sports operate very differently is other countries.

I do not know. Bugger. He was a Jamaican international and played as CB. It was a bit before my time so I'm not 100% sure though.

Plenty of midfielders lack pace in the Premier League and it's not like Khedira is slow, he just has poor accelaration and turn of pace. Barry, Alonso, Arteta, Carrick, Scholes, Matic, Fabregas, Ballack, Makelele, Lampard, Keane, Viera, etc all weren't quick and nimble but are some of the greats of the Premier League. Ramires is just an oddity, a Midfielder with the speed of a winger.
