there is no quote! Of course i realise that avb needs to have a look at what he has and im not saying he shouldnt do that or make panic buys. What i am saying is that im pretty sure that he knows where needs strengthening and im also fairly sure he has targets in mind, the fella is renowned for how meticulous he is in his work, all im saying is make the signings sooner rather than later.

talk about putting words in my mouth! When did i say i wanted the club to sign players without the managers approval, have a read back and tell me where that is! I actually said a few posts back that it should be the managers choice.

but they have still added the players they WANTED to their squad, whether we rate them or not is unimportant. The problem we will have is, as zolayes has just said, we will end up chasing players into the later weeks of august and the team will have no time whatsoever to get to know each other whilst our biggest rivals have signed three or four players early on and are already playing together. Seems like a pretty reasonable arguement to me

ok but we still could do with those signings sooner rather than later. Look at manuer and the dippers! They have basically sourced their squads for next season whereas most of us recognise that there are at least 3 glaringly obvious places that need filled and we aint done that yet. If avb has identified the players we need id hope they would be appointed soon to give the team time to gel and not arrive on the 31st of august

Personaly i feel you need your signings early for pre season but maybe thats just idealistic, its not impatience tho

i aint bothered much with the whole transfer section for a while because its hard to know whats true and whats bullshit and the inevitable excitement followed by the realisation that most of what we have read is nonsense is becoming tedious. I am begining to think we could miss out on all our reported main targets! correct! I dont think his talent can be called into question, his goals speak for themselves but at the minute i think he would only be a luxury signing. We will start Nando thru the middle of the front 3 next season id imagine so i dont see any place elsewhere for Falcao because he is an out and out goal scorer not a flair player or wide man who could facilitate the right or left of the front three. Great poacher mind you, will always pop up in the right place

that story was the general consensus on most media outlets yesterday and still today so there will be something in it. It only takes a friend or agent to say something to the press for a story to generate, sometimes its intentional sometimes its not and the fact that the media quote "a close friend or a chelsea insider" all the time makes it less believable for people but it doesnt mean its always wrong.

i dont think they do make it up, they just dont always get it right or the situation changes but its certainly not some collaboration between sky and le arse to bump prices up.

again, whats any of that got to do with sky attempting to put the price of the player up
