I honestly believe (and have done for a while) that AVB will be here for a good while, def next season, no matter what happens this year. The amount of talk about next years project, the young players being brought in and the supposed good relationship between AVB and Rom would suggest to me that even if we win nothing Andre will still be here. Did i read the other day that it cost us in the region of 20 odd mill to sack Carlo plus bring in AVB? I really think Rom is playing the long game (at last) and i for one am happy to see it. Of course ill have the right hump if we dont get CL next season but we have to try and build for a new generation of Chelsea Football Club. Hate to bring him up but look at Fergie, won fuck all for about 3 years and was close to getting the boot until he won the FA Cup and the rest is history. Im not saying that keeping a manager for an elongated period of time will mean you automatically follow that blueprint, but it certainly gives you a better chance. Next season will be the year that a lot of us have been waiting for, when we will finally see a lot of deadwood shipped out and some of the brightest young talents come in. I can see a bright new future for this team. KTBFFH
