I think that's the distinct reality that we're facing here. Jose made the call--let Costa heal naturally and don't invest heavily in a top-notch striker--and the way it's looking it may have been the wrong call.

All that from a friendly match?
-
IF he gets his head out of his ass, I'm sure he can win our collective hearts over. Like Jose said, next year was always going to be the year for the guy. I think he can do it, personally. But he better make a real difference, real quick.

Wouldn't wish that evil on anyone lol
-
Best part is that Pasalic and the shooter did the same exact same celebration at the same time, to opposite corner flags.
-
I think we possibly take for granted his defensive prowess. He shoulders an unbelievable load and makes it look so effortless. In 28 league appearances this season, Azpilicueta has not made a single defensive mistake which has led to an opposition chance.

I see what you're saying, but £100 Million does a lot in the way of convincing the bureaucrats. Plus, I'm sure they'd spend it A LOT better than Spuds, Pool, and United did.

1. Cesar. 2. Azpilicueta. 3. Dave.

Literally, I'm left thinking that he has him in the game as the extra aerial threat during corners, both attacking and defending them. There's just no reasonable other explanation.

In principle I wholly agree with you. However, in context everything changes. Using the same example you provided, for posterity sake, you have to examine the path in which they collectively gained their first team spots. Fabregas and Costa had to fill vacant roles (or displace Mikel/Ramires and Drogba, who was never intended to play 40 games), while Luis had to displace a pristinely in-form Azpilicueta. I find it difficult to blame him, for me we must look at the tangibles first and--all other things being equal--then we can whittle it down to a lack of pride on his part. In the very least I would commend him for his professionalism, but then again that's just a different side of the same coin.

This guy is a legend. Owned the left side.

It certainly looks it from that short clip... that's it, Mourinho's sold.
-
As long as his final transfer is for more than 9 mil, I suppose it was good business lol
-
Didn't watch the game, just saw the lineup on ESPN. Did he play? Didn't seem like it.

That kid...is something special. No real objective analysis from me, as I've only witnessed him in two games LOL. I really hope he retains his instinctive desire to beat players on his first few touches, from what I've seen, he has all the tools to do it. Very strong and balanced, extremely quick, exciting...if nothing else. I pray that he doesn't go down the route of Nasri (post-Arsenal). Maybe you can get a much better analysis from someone else here, I've seen his name mentioned a few times.

April fools...

Wait, are you serious or kidding

3 saves in a row Courtois. wtf defending much?
-
I need somewhere to complain about how absolutely awful Ramires has been.

WHAT IS GOING ON PEOPLE....

Is he in the hole or next to Matic?

Am literally doing nothing at work.

In a sense, I think we have an obligation to understand the nature behind the decisions that are made around us. I'd be much more worried if we appealed to the vanities and authorities and did not question their motives. There is a limit, I concede, where a desire to understand dissolves into splitting hairs... Anyways, will be interesting to see how this turns out.

For the sake of his own career, he really, really needs to just stop talking. He's still very young, but that excuse will wither away very quickly, however. Really goes to show how invaluable emotional maturity is in this industry. ...and not sure why he feels the need to speak down, even implicitly, about Everton. Always thought they were an excellent club.

The limit for this kid is incredible...I feel like this is but the tip of the iceberg, he is absolutely fearless.
