Most likely team imo: Cech; Azpi, Cahill, JT, Cole; Rambo, Mikel/MVG; Mata, Oscar, Hazard; Lukaku. Oscar will drop deep and we would pretty much have a 3 man midfield. We need to be better on the counter though and that responsibility will fall to Hazard and Lukaku, while Mata plays because he's capable of making those great passes in behind the defence.

Yeah Ba is leaving for sure, but Torres won't start or play as much now. Eto'o would be 1st choice, and Lukaku is good enough to be his backup, terrorizing tired defenders. Our 50m man will be playing in Capital One Cup.

So we need someone to lead our line - Eto'o is still pretty decent and no matter how old, he's definitely better than the aforementioned 2. Lukaku will get many chances to show what he's got, you only need to watch Madrid last season to see how Mourinho rotated his strikers. And if he does well, then we won't need to pursue another top striker next year. But going into the season with him and 2 strikers that can't score is just suicidal.

Eto'o is not that bad. His finishing is still good from what i've read, and his linkup play and dribbling has gotten better due to him playing behind Traore. He obviously has lost pace, but if he can get the ball at the edge of the box and make things happen for himself or others - like he has been doing at Anzhi - then that'd be good enough for now.

12m for him is a great deal, not to mention he won't be on very high wages either. For a player who has scored the amount he has over the past couple seasons - in Europe as well as domestically - it is worth a gamble for any team looking for a striker.

Don't forget Hulk who hardly plays well for Brazil.
