  1. You think teams throw millions away based on superstitions? Paulinho like you previously described is a Mourinho type player. And he could be available for a reasonable fee. I'm sure he's not the only midfielder on Chelsea's wishlist, but at the end of the day, you can't always get what you want (Vidal) and might have to settle.
  2. You could also buy WC players, who end up not performing at the required level. Every transfer is a risk, from Paulinho to Kroos. Costa to Cavani - you just don't know how they will adapt to a new system or country. So i think it's more than fair to "wait until we see how he performs for us before judging"
  3. His stats are hugely inflated because of the players around him. His record for France is pretty lol in comparison. Anyway Real Madrid fans i see on other forums complain about him endlessly; inconsistent and wasteful.
  4. Surprise, surprise, Benzema in another slump. 1 goal - a tap in - in his last 10 games. And this while playing for a brilliant attacking team, in a league where a lot of teams actually try to attack. Yet, some people want him here because he can pass
  5. You know we have a problem when we're trying to break down a defensive team, and 2 of our subs were used on Luiz and Torres. The latter is useless in those kind of games, even Mourinho said this. And Luiz isn't dynamic enough on the ball to play alongside Matic against the lesser teams. I really hope Lampard leaves, maybe that would force Mou into strengthening the position.
  6. Lol when i read head-butt, i expected something like Zidane's. He does some stupid things that will most likely get him banned by the FA... but it's nothing as serious as Ramires' clear violence.
  7. This should have been the team against Sunderland. Hopefully we can score a few early.
  8. 4 straight semi's and no final. Only a matter of time though.
  9. Tbf, Cavani, Ibra and Suarez were also shit against Chelsea. Not a lot of strikers have actually scored against our defence this season, we just concede random goals from set-pieces etc
  10. When was the last time Mou spoke about Ramires? i genuinely haven't heard much since the beginning of the season. Imo, Ramires only plays so much because his competition = 35 year old Lamps, a CB and Mikel who's too defensive to play alongside Matic or Luiz. I don't see anyway Ramires is still a sure starter for Chelsea next season.
  11. No chance. He's a starter for Brazil over Ramires for a reason. He's pretty good going forward for a CM, and also good in the air. I think if he signs, it will show Mou has been disappointed in Ramires, and sees Paulinho as a better option to him.
  12. Obviously. He's very cautious, like Mourinho lol.
  13. Yeah it was before Arsenal tie, he had surgery on his butt - reasons unknown
  14. He was great last season, and at the beginning of this season. But since he got the whole butt surgery thing + losing ballon d'or, he's been horrible.
  15. Too wasteful. It wouldn't be such a big deal, if we had other good finishers in the team to take advantage of his great passing, but we don't. So it's more important to have a more clinical striker, than to have a creative striker imo.
  16. In the past 2 games he has. When the other team had the ball, he left closing down players in front of the box to Matic/Luiz and Lamps and he stayed most of the time inside the box. Luiz plays similar when he's at DM, but Mikel took it to a more extreme level. It really felt like we had a back 5. (not complaining about it, just wanted to point it out)
  17. Yep, he's the only regular on Motd I like.
  18. First Chelsea winner since Scott Parker lol. Congrats.
  19. Yep.. at the beginning of the season he got into a lot of good positions, and scored goals when our strikers and Hazard were doing nothing. Since he doesn't create much, he has to be scoring more frequently to make up for it.
