It's a tougher game than it sounds, especially away. Man city did not win there either, and they have much more physical players than us. The minute Diame came on the game changed, he pushed Mata around like he wasn't even there - and those fucking long balls are a nightmare to deal with.

I could 'outwit' this Chelsea side with a team like Stoke or West ham, and that's my point.

What changes could have been made? i did not see one player on the bench that could have changed the game, all our players are very similar.

Not really, the previous 2 games we have defended decently enough, surely better than at anytime in the previous games JT has been out. But there's nothing this squad can do against teams like West ham etc, and it is not Rafa's fault. Would have been slightly different if JT was back there, because he bosses everything in the air.

Don't know if it has been posted but Valencia fired their manager after getting humbled 5-2 at home. They sit 10th in the league, but have been far better in CL. Also, Mourinho is now the longest serving manager in the league lmao. Agree with that, they're clearly not good enough, they should finish in a CL spot for sure though.

Yes RDM. We needed just draws against Shakhtar and Juve away and got totally outplayed in both, the former was during a period where we actually were playing really well.

Arsenal and Chelsea have both been terrible lately, Chelsea even more so than Arsenal. It's just amazing how we can't seem to win anymore, this time of the year man.

I would argue today against Madrid was a massive game and he didn't make a positive contribution. Maybe he's also a confidence player like Torres? because when he started the season so hot he could not stop scoring. Then a couple games he failed to find the back of the net and his influence has been declining, and he's been getting easily frustrated.

If he comes here he will score for sure, that's not even my problem with him. Torres with all his shitty movement has had very very good chances this season and found a way to miss most of them, a player like Falcao is capable of having a better conversion rate. But it might not be as much as he did for Porto and Atletico due to the way we play, we don't deliver enough good crosses to take advantage of his aerial ability. And until Rafa became manager, we don't even look to get the ball to the striker in behind the defence enough.

Torres was a good team player last season, where he had 15 assists, now he doesn't do anything right. Like what though? i have watched him a lot, for Porto, Colombia and Atletico and the 1 thing i will tell you about him is he's a great finisher. Nothing else stands out.

How is that underrating? he's a great finisher, but not much else. I wouldn't call him a complete forward like i would someone like Ibrahimovic.
