  1. I'd gladly take him in January. He's good in and around the box, and gets around 20 goals a season, not too mention he'd go for pretty cheap.
  2. The negativity is unreal. I try to have some sort of faith regardless of how we're playing, it can only get better really, and we will finally win again.... hopefully soon
  3. Yeah me also, RDM had his negatives, but i had no problem with him staying for the rest of the season, even with the way we were playing.
  4. Several managers recently have lost their job due to the November slump, RDM is just another victim. He was fired quicker than all the others though, and that probably highlights how Roman didn't trust him.
  5. 1. He lost the dressing room? lol. My point previously stands, many of our players have been under-performing since under RDM, so does that mean he lost the dressing room too? 2. No i wasn't going to say that, but i'd say you need luck to win the CL. Pep needed huge luck to knock us out and win his first one. RDM needed luck to knock out Barca and somehow win the CL in another team's home stadium. Man utd needed luck to beat us in the final etc. 3. Didn't he win the league in Spain? 4. That's right, but what way can we successfully play exactly without a proper striker? at the beginning of the season we were fortunate we had Hazard and Mata carrying us, now they have both slowed down and so has the team, and one of the main reasons is we don't have a striker we can depend on for goals.
  6. How annoying it would be if Man utd find a way to have 3 top quality strikers, while we're still stuck on 0.
  7. 2 wins out of 8 and likely elimination from the CL is as close to disaster as it gets for the current "Champions of Europe". I do get your point though, but my point is - now that Rafa is here, why want him out, when there's really no good option to replace him?
  8. What did he criticize apart from the lack of leaders thing? i've not read any football related articles since the West ham loss
  9. His ideas are based on being solid and organized defensively first, being good on the counter and passes in behind the defence instead of passing it in-front of them 30 times to create an opening. Negative maybe, when you compare to some managers who love to play open attacking football, but i don't have much of a problem with it. The atmosphere is negative because of the fans. Roman brought Benitez in because he was the best person available, but the fans don't like him and are creating a negative atmosphere around the club, one that makes it even more difficult to succeed. And right now if Rafa was fired, who would come in and get Chelsea out of this "depressing spell"? Avram Grant? Steve Kean? Sparky?
  10. I don't understand these 2 points. You can't say the players do not want to play for him since many of them have been playing like this since under RDM, so they didn't want to play for RDM either? And his ideas are actually solid as far as i'm concerned. Someone posted an article that likened the way he wants Chelsea to play to how BVB play, but we just don't have a good enough squad atm, which is shocking looking at how much some of those players cost.
  11. I agree with that, but i don't think Romeu especially would have made much of a difference.
  12. I beg to differ, we didn't let them have much joy on the flanks with Moses doing well to help Cole on the right, and Azpi dominating Jarvis. But on corners they looked threatening and they also played it up from their own half a lot.
  13. That would have been a minor change, and wouldn't stop them from bullying us in the air. It also would not stop Diame from running around like he owns the midfield lol.
  14. It's a tougher game than it sounds, especially away. Man city did not win there either, and they have much more physical players than us. The minute Diame came on the game changed, he pushed Mata around like he wasn't even there - and those fucking long balls are a nightmare to deal with.
  15. I could 'outwit' this Chelsea side with a team like Stoke or West ham, and that's my point.
  16. What changes could have been made? i did not see one player on the bench that could have changed the game, all our players are very similar.
  17. Not really, the previous 2 games we have defended decently enough, surely better than at anytime in the previous games JT has been out. But there's nothing this squad can do against teams like West ham etc, and it is not Rafa's fault. Would have been slightly different if JT was back there, because he bosses everything in the air.
  18. The team does though. Our captain is out, vice captain also out/declining, and 3rd captain has left. Who's going to rally the troops? the goalkeeper? meh.
  19. Lmao tactically outwitted? the tactical decision was a quite obvious one for Fat Sam; we have a lot of small players so they just started hoofing the ball non stop. Nothing genius about it.
  20. Well said Mr Benitez, especially that last line. Some of our players have been playing like headless chickens for weeks now.
  21. Lmao, i'm sure its his fault that they were clueless throughout the whole game and never posed any threat to an underwhelming Real Madrid side.
  22. Just looking at that, there's no need for Jovetic. A better DM would make more sense to me.
  23. RDM on his way to Valencia apparently.
