Spot on. However, as he gains experience and becomes older he'll also become more consistent and will improve his overall game even more. With his ability to use his body and stretch the pitch by drawing 2 defenders' attention he'll always be able to make an impact. If he's available for about 25m euros (like BILD has been reporting for quite some time now) I'd go for him. Much better value-for-money ratio than Falcao or some other hyped striker.

What baffles me are the criteria for the best young player award. Does the best younger player need to be the best individual young player (who in this case, of all the nominees, Hazard would have to be) or does he need to have the biggest impact on his team's performance during the whole season (which would be Benteke this time) in order to win the award? Anyway, no matter which one of these 2 options has be taken into accout neither of them fit Bale.

Bale winning the award makes even less sense now.
