  1. I don't see the point in letting myself being insulted by some dude who knows jack shit about me simply because I disagree with him. Even if we miss out on winning the PL and the CL where we, admittedly, might not be up to our best yet, either the FA Cup or the Capital One Cup is a must (if not even both of them) because our squad is good enough to compete for these titles. A title is a title, even if it's a "lesser" one. Fair enough, you're right in what you're saying but you're forgetting the 3rd factor: ambition. Not too long ago, when Bayern were second to Dortmund, were Bayern's front office and players safisfied with finishing 2nd? No, because even though their squad wasn't as good as Dortmund's being happy with coming second was not even an option for them as a club of their status aims for titles. Just like Chelsea do.
  2. Comparing apples and oranges has never been a good idea.
  3. No, in the position we're now, titles are simply expected. If Jose wasn't the coach people would be livid if we lose out on all trophies this season. We're one of the biggest clubs in Europe and winning nothing at all would be a failure.
  4. But could he do it on a cold night at Stoke?
  5. United have been living in their own world for years in terms of organising and managing a club. With Ferguson gone it's like somebody popped the bubble that was protecting them. They've entered modern-day's world of football and they're lost like a fish out of water now.
  6. United are the football equivalent of this year's NY Knicks.
  7. Great weather, watched the game with @ at a Chelsea pub, and a 6-0 vs Arsenal. Spring couldn't have begun any better!
  8. In contention for the best LB in the world reputation right now. Just imagine what he'd look like on the right side where his offensive contributions wouldn't be limited...
  9. Awesome post, lmao Playing the second game at home is gonna be huge for us. I'm happy with our draw, actually.
  10. Sloths and penguins are way cooler, yeah.
  11. Some of our own fans are setting the bar for idiocy pretty low. Can't expect any other clubs' fans to do any better as far as I'm concerned.
  12. So he sealed the deal in 3 of those 4 games... what's your point again?
  13. Lol, I got an email about this from Yahoo today.
  14. Did Jose just call out Torres for his lack of effort? Brilliant.
  15. You missed him offering his services the other day, right?
  16. Of course Barcelona get a penalty gift. Anything else would have been a surprise.
  17. Then there's no reason to bring up a point about who was our best player if we're talking about creating chances... Well, key passes are passes that directly lead to a shot so there is some logic behind it. Off-ball movement is important, yes but if you're praising one single player for his movement then 10 other players have to be praised for their movement, too, as every single one of them is doing their part (occupying a specific part of the pitch or making a run) before a goal scoring opportunity is created. Key passes on the other hand give us the "evidence" as to who is picking the final pass aka directly creating the shot of a teammate. And again I ask, what's the point in bringing up arguments like Oscar not being a flashy player, having a good shot, still adjusting to the PL etc when the talk is about creating chances? I'm no Oscar "hater" or whatever, I appreciate and like his play but there's some flaws in his game and things things he's not good at (yet!) and directly creating chances is one of them. Obviously, his stats could be (and are probably) flawed due to his immense workrate which has had an effect on his fitness resulting in a lack of concentration in the final third, especially when he had Lampard and Ramires behind him and had to cover for them. But whether this assumption is true or not is something we don't really know, but that being said it's definitely gonna be interesting to see how Oscar will work as our no. 10 with a proper double pivot sitting behind him.
  18. What does being the best player have to do with creating chances? Oscar averages 1,4 key passes per game in the PL this season, compared to Hazard's 2,5, Lampard's 1,3 and Ramires 1,2 just to put Oscar's numbers into perspective. As for creating chances, Oscar is just barely better than Ramires which is rather shocking...
  19. He has sucked at creating chances the whole season, not just since Mata left, smh.
  20. Don't we already have enough CB prospects?!
