  1. Casillas leaving his net to get to a high ball after having done fuck all in a similar situation already because of course! You'd expect players to become more intelligent the older they become, and the more experience they gain...
  2. The way the board has handled selling players has put us in the Porto and Bilbao tier of transfer negotiations.
  3. Omeruo to sign new Chelsea deal...finally Also, according to that article... Probably BS but you never know...
  4. Hope Real wins it! I want our boys to be still hungry for the CL title when they join us this summer.
  5. This is the most depressing thing I've read all day.
  6. JFC, you're on about this BS again...
  7. If you have Dropbox you can upload a song from your computer there and then use the link to the file here on TC. Not sure if uploading copyrighted stuff is legal in Greece though so you might want to check that first.
  8. Chelsea legend. He stood by his words till the end. Thank you, Ash.
  9. Van Gaal made Bayern who they are now. Ungrateful scum.
  10. None of them are really reliable. Bild likes to make everything seem bigger than it is (like the DailyFail) so I wouldn't put much trust into them. Sport1 basically publish just about every rumor they find, lol. Both of them do have good knowledge about specific rumors sometimes but that's only when they get insider hints (like it happened before the Götze transfer).
  11. I'd suprised if England made it out of the group stage. Uruguay and Italy are much better teams.
  12. No, I don't like Mandzukic as a footballer based on what he does on the pitch and I already pointed out why. It's nothing personal, just on-pitch football talk. The rest is a threat from outside because they have the ability to score from there unlike Mandzukic. I'm in no way saying that you need to be a threat from outside the box to be one of the best strikers in the world but even without considering this aspect Mandzukic is still not one of them. He's good, not world class. But so is Lukaku, and to add to that he has the potential to become world class. So why buy Mandzukic? Doing something stupid on a constant basis does qualify someone for being an idiot. If Mandzukic did it just a few times I wouldn't be calling it out. But that's who he is. He'll be crossing the line more often than not. Some might admire or even glorify it, I don't. It's pure stupidity if you're putting yourself and your team in an unnecessarily bad position.
  13. So Ibrahimovic, Lewandowski, Van Persie, Suarez, Rooney etc aren't threats outside the box, right? No, not when you have a player in Lukaku who brings the same aspects to the table. Except none of these players are idiots like Mandzukic (Ramires maybe but only if you count stupid tackles etc).
  14. Sometimes I really don't get the logic of some posters. Lukaku has finished his second season in the PL, he's experienced enough, he's young, he knows how to score goals, he bleeds blue, and he's probably the biggest striker prospect atm. But for some reason people want him loaned out again and us to buy someone like Mandzukic to play as our 2nd striker (The main reason he'll leave Munich is him being degraded to that 2nd striker's spot but fuck logic...). Those very same people who want Lukaku to go out on loan also want us to promote youth players though. So how's that? Instead of playing an already experienced striker in Lukaku they want players like Baker and RLC to make the team next season. It makes no sense. The thing is though it's always been this way. I don't exactly know why (Maybe because youth players are even younger?...) but after some time in which a young player hasn't made it at Chelsea yet it's suddenly his fault for not breaking into the team. This stuff has been written about Lukaku already, go through this thread. McEachran, Kakuta etc - all of them were praised when they played their first games for Chelsea, the hype began, people had high hopes and expected them to become stars. Then they didn't become all of a sudden first team regulars and people started questioning their attitude and calling them "mentally weak" etc. But rarely do the board and the manager get the full blame. It's always "Well, yeah, the board picked a wrong loan move/the manager XY ruined him but if player YZ really wanted to make it he'd have given his all!" and that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Calling someone mentally weak is an excuse and only to some really small degree the truth. You either put a player into a situation to succeed or you don't. Period. Blaming Lukaku for choosing to go on loan last season and not wanting to fight for his place against 3 strikers (especially in a WC) is just ridiculous. Not giving Lukaku a chance to prove himself next season and buying someone like Mandzukic would be ridiculous as well. If there's one player out on loan and whom we need it's Lukaku who should be in our squad when the summer transfer window closes.
  15. Because I don't rate him as a player nor as a character. He's bad technically (not at all better than Lukaku; people underestimate his technique it seems), can't create with the ball at his feet, isn't a great athlete, and isn't a threat from outside the box. He's good in the air, knows how to score, and can work defenders but that's about it. Character-wise he's an asshole. Whereas people like his assholeishness on the pitch most seem to forget his flaws: he's constantly talking to the ref and putting himself in a position to receive a stupid yellow card for simply not being able to shut up, he thinks of himself to highly resulting in arguing with coaches if things don't go his preferred way, and he'll never take the blame even if he fucked up royally. Instead of buying this guy for 15-20m why not simply give Lukaku the gig?! I don't get it.
  16. I'd only like to get him without giving up Luiz.
