  1. I read it and the only thing I got out of it is that, according to you, he's a top player whose current slump is down to fatigue but you haven't explain why he's such a valuable member of the team and what he offers the team that players like Willian and Schurrle can't/don't. in layman terms why should we turn down Psg's mega offer? Yer that part you haven't explained.
  2. Comedy central. thanks for giving me a good laugh. And when I label him one of the most overrated players, people think I'm being harsh.
  3. You still haven't answered my question. I thought it was pretty straight forward.
  4. What did he do in November that was so immense? And even if he was immense (in your own word and opinion) you still haven't answered the question. what does he offer that William and Schurrle can't? I wouldn't dare advocate selling Matic for example because he brings added value to the team and offers what other midfielders can't (on a consistent basis atleast).
  5. It's a no brainer. sell. he brings absolutely nothing to the table that players like Willian and Schurrle don't and his creative influence and consistency leaves less to be desired. I have never seen a supposedly no 10 so bland, technically deficient and unimaginative in his play. The glaring weaknesses could be overlooked if he was a goal scoring midfielder which he isn't. being tactically astute is not enough.
  6. Yeh those teams are so much worse than Cardiff, palace, Fulham. All the teams in the EPL are world class
  7. Not sure he deserved nor justified the hype and accolades he got between 04-07 as he only had one great season (2004/05). His goal scoring tally for 05/06 season reads 18 goals in 47 matches and in 06/07 he only managed 6 goals in 30 apps. So he was only in that conversation for one year for me even though his goal scoring form in UCL for the 05/06 season was great.
  8. Well it's a derby and Man utd would/should raise their game for the sake of professional pride and bragging rights but then again I said the same thing to myself before their match against Liverpool. . . . .
  9. I have always said he's undoubtedly one of the most consistently great strikers in history. he's always been in conversation of best strikers in the world since 2004 Between 04-07 it was Shevchenko, henry, eto'o, Between 07-10 : Villa, Eto'o, Zlatan,Torres, Drogba. He's shown world class form and performance for 7 straight years at the top level. I can't think of many strikers in the last 20 years that have been more consistent. Shearer, Henry, Raul and Zlatan maybe. majority of world class strikers usually have dips in form, sometimes for prolonged periods and some never recover from the slump and always have to rely on reputation to still be relevant but those 5 strikers were super consistent in their prime.
  10. Messi is regarded as one of the greatest players of all time (and will possibly go down as the GOAT if he wins a world cup before he retires) he's talked about in the same breath as Pele, Maradona, Di stefano, cruyff et al. If hazard reaches that level, it will be the greatest achievement in football history. at hazard's age, messi was already a multiple ballon dor winner just to put things into perspective. there's not a single young player currently that shows the potential to reach the heights of GOAT's because that is the level one has to achieve in order to be talked in the same breath as the Argentine.
  11. Well good for you. we can't all share the same views and that's what makes life interesting.
  12. Absolutely spot on. You should post more often. breath of fresh air you are.
  13. That's right , I forgot about them but it doesn't matter really because Zlatan and cavani, starters for PSG and way superior to Oscar and willian . . . . .
  14. My fair assessment of both teams Jose>Blanc Cech>Sirigu Silva>JT Marquinhos=Cahill (based on current form I had argue Cahill is better but the Brazilian has higher ceiling) Ivanovic>VDW Azplicueta>maxwell Cabaye>Lampard Veratti>Ramires Matuidi>Mikel Hazard>Lavezzi Zlatan>Eto'o Cavani>Torres So PSG have superior attackers and central midfielders while we have superior defence collectively and a superior manager. If it was a 38 match league competition I had give PSG the edge easily but this is a 2 legged cup competition where defense and tactical superiority usually carries heavy weight and we have a manager and some players that have been here before but at the same time Zlatan and Silva are some of the worlds greatest footballers and that cannot and shouldn't be ignored. 2 genuine game changers. I can see why some rate this as 50/50 but I lean more towards 60/40 in our favor due to the experience factor.
  15. I read what you typed very well and it's pure unadulterated horse shit
  16. Because we are the only team on earth that pays its players peanut and majority of these peanuts is then voluntarily donated to charities all over the country and it's been a lifelong dream of every single player in our squad to play for Chelsea. haven't you heard? discrediting the opposition as a way of building confidence is usually a sign of fear and insecurity.
  17. Ofcourse Ramires aka rich man's Xavi> Verratti, 35 year old attacking midfielder, Lampard, forced to play in central midfield > Cabaye and Mikelele> Matuidi. blue tinted glasses in full force.
  18. Not the worth draw ever even though they have a stronger starting 11/squad. but that rarely counts for much in cup competitions I would have preferred utd or Dortmund.
  19. It has been widely reported by various reliable journos that Eto'o was Jose's no1 choice in the summer of 06 before Roman forced Shevchenko on him.
  20. Utd are the obvious weakest link out of the remaining teams in the competition. I wouldn't mind Dortmund either as they have been very underwhelming and injury hit this season.
  21. The Argentine club, deportivo moron, should place a bid for him in the summer. He had be a perfect fit.
  22. Except Forlan and Aguero aren't the type of strikers that rely on services in order to flourish and even if your point about Torres, falcao is true, that is still no slight on the undeniable quality they showed in their prime. The point is, they consistently churn out world class strikers.
  23. I still believe that the Ancelotti sacking is hugely responsible for josh's stunted development. I have no doubt whatsover that his career path would have been much different than it is now if carlo was still in charge.
  24. Eto'o simply has to start. his record in big games over the course of his illustrious career is remarkable.
