I absolutely agree with this. Another major factor for me is the distinct lack of pacr in the middle. Matic, fabregas and mikel simply can't keep up with pacy runners. Sometimes players just slice through our midfield like hot knife on a butter We need to address this issue along with the lack of consistent cohesive pressing and replacing the obvious weak link in defence.

The bus he's going to park in the next couple of games will make the youngman superliner look like a mini coupe.
-
He really surprised me today with his all round game. I have always seen him as a fox in the box type of striker (which he still is) but he has much more to his game by the looks of it.
-
Absolutely agree with this. I also believe another reason he's struggling interwines with this point. The overall quality of defenders and defensive players at his disposal pales in comparison to the ones he use to have. Cahill, Fabregas (too slow, weak defensively) Ivanovic, David Luiz, Mikel, Marcelo, Alonso (the same as fabregas), Ramos (erratic and lacks discipline) compare that to warriors like Samuel,Lucio, Zanetti,Cambiasso ,Motta, JT,Carvalho,Makelele,Essien, prime Gallas et al. Those players at inter and Chelsea were better and more suited to his one dimensional defensive tactics.

His decline, just like those before him is inevitable and a natural part of any sport. Only ferguson was able to maintain the incredible standard he set for him self over 2 decade till he retired (That's why He's the greatest manager of all time). Great managers almost always fall off and lose their mojo overtime. Wenger, ottmar hitzfeld, Van gaal,Capello, Hiddink,Trapattoni,et al. I do believe he's still good enough to win league titles every now and then though but he's showing gradual signs of decline overall. it will take a few more years before he completey and inevitably lose his mojo

Aren't you the same guy that was trying to pin this result on the youth aka under 22 players with remarks like "That's why he doesn't play the youth". You can't go from your statement in the match and post match thread to "The team Mourinho selected was more than good enough to beat Bradford EASILY". That's changing tunes.
-
My God that was shocking. Diabolical team defending. for 3 of those goals we had about 8 players in the box with no one man marking and closing down shooting angles. Just very one panicking and running around cluelessly in the box. By the look of things we sat back defended deep
-
You are surprised people find joke funny? This performance and result is one big massive joke and it's only natural to find a joke amusing.
-
And make no mistake about it, we deserved to lose against Liverpool and should have lost. That would have been 2 losses in a row. This is either a strategic and cynically delibrate move by Jose or a worrying trend.
-
Basically Jose is incapable of utilising his squad to get a good result/performance. Moreover He's the one claiming satisfaction and happiness with the squad, if he realises the sqaud players are crap/not good enough, why isn't he taking action to rectify some of the problem in this transfer window. Perhaps he's delusional enough to think Salah,Schurrle et al are good enough.
-
Yet people moan when he's rested.
-
The ones in bold are squad players. While you are at it also count Thibo and Oscar as youth. They are under 24 afterall.
-
Are you minding him. Anything to defend Jose and vilify those who advocate youth development.
-
Listen to yourself. He started one youth today (I don't count Zouma as one as he's already a full fledge squad player) and that's Christensen. One youth selection is not enough to influence such a diabolical performance of epic proportions. And if Christensen, the only youth he selected was so bad and the reason we conceded 4 goals after being 2 ahead against a league two side (Even though I haven;t seen the highlight, I highly doubt that was the case), why didn't Jose take him off then?
-
Now 2 4 lmao. If you cant cry, you must laugh at this pathetic showing
-
Wow
-
And bradford equalise. You have got to be kidding me. How can you throw away a 2 goal lead at home against a league 2 side?
-
Well our fans are certainly to blame for it. when they chant his name in every single game, numerous times during each games too. You don't see legends like JT, Lampard (before he left), Zola,Drogba, Osgood et al's name being sung out every single game. Our fans are to blame for that imo. When you feed an egomaniac constantly, his ego can do nothing but grow exponentially. He knows he has the fans wrapped around his fingers and can get away with anything even blatant disrespect.
-
It's interesting because the reactions on here is the same as opposition fans whenever we sign a "wonderkid". He's only 16, so if he continues his growth, he could be the next Carvajal as Real seems to be moving towards a different approach regarding transfer policy with first team signings like Isco,James, varane and Illaramendi. I wouldn't write him off just yet. Real are no worse than us in terms of youth development and integration. The only issue with the transfer is obviously the reported wages. 80k a week is absolute madness for an unproven 16 yo
-
Too right. kakuta is having a good season in la liga too but not a single word of recognition. I guess it's just human nature.
-
Some of the stuff he's come up with in his second spell in charge has been quite baffling. He publicly blasted the home crowd and atmostphere. Kissing Gerrard and Liverpool's asses all week, He insinuated that we are a small club by the grand scheme of things (i,e compared to your Madrid,Bayern,United etc), He routinely threw his players under the bus publicly for most of last season, showed hostility to a club legend, di Matteo and so on. very soon he will start turning against those that chant his name in every game. I definitely liked him better in his first spell in charge, much more pleasant and partisan back then.

schurrle has better stats overall (offensive stats as they are all offensive players) than Cuadrado thorughput the course of their careers, why do you want Cuadrado instead since it's all about stats right?
-
Even if the stats is acknowledge, is the stats difference significant enough to spend another 30m on Cuadrado? Is Cuadrado a much better player than Willian overall and would he be a significant upgrade to justify spending that kind of money on him. These are the concerns and uncertainty that those of us against this tranfer are expressing. stats or not, most posters have seen Cuadrado play on a regular basis and do not feel he's an upgrade on what we already have. heck Schurrle has better stats than Willian and Cuadrado yet he's not a starter nor popular with the fans. so it's more than just stats sometimes.
-
You are forgetten one key factor here, appearances. since 2011, these are Cuadrado's apps as a starter 11/12 - 32, 12/13- 34 , 13/14- 31 compared that to willian's 11/12- 25, 12/13 -15, 13/14- 22. Obviously the player with significantly more minutes on the pitch not only has the advantage and opportunity of recording better stats in terms of goals and assist but also has the luxury of playing himself back into form which the player with significantly less munute does not enjoy.

Brahimi, Arda turan, Draxler, Aubameyang, Heung-min Son. These are wingers/AM that i have seen with real substance to their game outside of the unrealistic ones like Robben,Reus et al. Again it's just my opinion of watching them play.
