If you still believe a single word that comes out of jose's mouth in 2015 then you are either very gullible or very optimistic. Jose is about as trustworthy as a typical politician. Some would even call him a politician slash football manager.
-
He's the latest football manager sensation and wonderkid. He's quick, he's fast and he's got pace
-
A decision that was borne out of Jose ostracizing him like he does to every player he doesn't particularly rate or deem good enough to start regularly. He was forced to leave due to his place in the national team for the world cup was at jeopardy due to lack of game time. either way, Jose's stubbornness and reluctance to rotate his squad is toxic and should be rightly criticised . Cuadradro is already experiencing the same treatment.
-
So that makes Jose's treatment of players he doesn't rate ok?
-
I was just getting over Sturridge and now this. The only way I get over it quickly is if we get a top class AM in the summer that hits the ground running and shift Oscar to the bench where he belongs.
-
Yet you won't hear a single word of criticism from the same posters that castigated AVB for doing the same thing.
-
Lukaku really is a younger and less prolific Costa i,e awful on the ball most of the time and offer very little else outside of goals.
-
I see where Rapkun is coming from. defensively Matic is actually limited in the sense that He lacks the pace to keep up with fast players (it's no coincidence he's struggled badly this season against players with pace at times) and in the absence of pace, a DM needs to have a Godly/makelele like awareness and position to be flawlessly and consistently effective, which he doesn't have and not many DM's including the elite ones have it either. His ability on the ball and strength are his biggest attributes.

Unfortunately no such thing exists in a sport riddled with uncertainty and variables. players are always in and out of form, suffer injuries and in some cases takes time for them to rediscover form or never, tactical considerations in relation to the opponent and so on (some players suit certain games and certain opposition better than others). Fatigue issue aside (which is a big factor) sticking to the same starting 11 most the time is never the best or most sensible approach. It also destroys team morale, causes dressing room unrest and creates rustiness in players who rarely play which explains why some of our squad players rarely perform well when called upon.
-
It's called selective reasoning. the bundesliga is strong when it suits their agenda/argument but weaker when it doesn't. It's the most predictable attempt at discrediting players.
-
Do people still think this? If the Bundelisga sucks then the premier league is dumpster status and has been for the past few seasons. Performance in europe is the most accurate method of assessing the strength of a league and the Bundesliga has outperformed the EPL in Europe over the last 3 seasons.. . . . yes I know the epl has more money and TV viewership but what good is the money if the overall quality of the league, particularly the top teams, is down. Time to lay the same old unfounded rhetoric to rest.
-
He's the most natural goalscorer in our ranks imo now whether he can replicate that at the top level with Chelsea is the only question mark obviously.
-
Since no one will say it, I will. when he's off form, like he has been for sometime now and in majority of the big games this season, his technical ability is no better than ramires which is quite strange. He plays like a typical spanish midfield maestro when on form and turns into a donkey quite literally when off it. Normally when players are off form they still retain their technique, this is not the case with Fabregas. What's worse is that he has no physical presence or pace to rely on when the touches and passes aren't working out.

Enough with the Brazilians. There are only two Brazilians worth buying in the worst era of Brazilian football and that's Neymar and coutinho. The rest can kick rocks.

If jose continues to select him then surely the blame has to fall solely at the manager's feet? If a player consistently plays poorly then it's the manager's duty and responsibility to seek other alternatives. People are focusing their anger on the wrong person, most of us have known for sometime that oscar was never good enough and too inconsistent yet Jose persisted with him and continues to pick him on a regular basis. players don't pick themselves. Most proactive managers would have taken his poor form in the second half of last season and his overall gross inconsistency throughout his time here as a hint and look to upgrade the AM position.
-
I understand he's not match fit and rusty but my God, his cameo today gave me flash backs of Ali Dia. It was that bad
-
That team meeting wasn't very effective, was it. His team selection and tactics continues to baffle.
-
Another awful game from the "maintainer of balance"
-
he fits the system
-
Hazard, Ramires and Thibo the only positives in this game
-
Almost time for Jose to bring Drogba on to play with Costa.
-
Oscar has the first touch of an oak tree
-
Truth be told Fabregas has been absolutely terrible since the turn of the year. he's been just as poor as Oscar in this game
-
Tactically speaking I'm not sure managers of relegation battling teams would do any worse if they were in charge. Jose has experienced a decline, tactically, so dramatic, it rivals that of Torres as a player. We are where we are due to a combination of world class GK's,individual brilliance, luck and motivation (that no one can take away from Jose). he's just not the same manager anymore. Even our defending has been terrible and that's what he's known for.

Best manager in the world my ass
