One thing that can't be denied is man utd's vast improvement in the big games under van gaal. Last season, they would have been down and out by now
-
It's just a shame that the golden era of our academy since the 80's is overseen by a very very cautious manager in charge. It would be a big shame if we fail to capitalise on the huge potential of youngsters like bamford, rlc, boga, colkett, jay da silva and solanke

Perhaps but torres was older and significantly far more experienced and established at the top level before joining liverpool. Kane's transition is more impressive imo.

Glad to see mata back. I could never hate him even if I tried.
-
A draw will do nicely

It's a must win game is cliche at this point but Arsenal are starting to do my head in and Man city have enough quality and experience to finish the season strongly. both teams are well equipped to capitalise on any potential slip ups down the stretch.

Honestly I wasn't trying to offend you with that gif. I have heard or seen people label oscar many things but skillfull and samba isn't one of them. I wouldn't have replied with that gif if you attributed this statement "You only have to watch the way he can make a ball talk to see that he has some very special talent" to players like Messi,Neymar, Hazard,Coutinho, Brahimi et al. Oscar is anything but skillful and flambouyant. he's the very essence of a no frills midfielder who serves a purpose in a highly efficient team especially when on form. And to top it off you presented that view as though his "dazzling skills" are so obvious and a major aspect of his game that it will be difficult to deny for anyone that's ever seen him play which couldn't be further from the truth.

you have a personal isue with me which you didn't even try to hide in your post and that's why im the bad guy here even though I was clearly provoked into the reactions. High light one post of mine where I have attacked any poster without provocation. Personally I don't care whether you ban me or not, but bias is bias and it reflects badly on mods to show it. Mods are suppose to maintain a level of neutrality. Ban me if you want, it won't stop me from changing who I am and expressing my unadulterated views.

There wouldnt be a rocky marciano behind the keyboard or a need for it if not for bullies and pricks like yourself. I have seen the bullying culture go unpunished and even encouraged far too long on this forum and I have had it. Make no mistake about it though, I will continue to express my opinion and speak my mind. Better bullies than yourself have tried but failed. So you might want to go back to the drawing board and find better and more influential insult than troll, wind up merchant, keyboard warrior etc.

Spare me the essay and join iseah10 in the back of the queue to kiss my ass. I'm done being polite to you pricks
-
Fair enough. I have always thought Rooney is criminally underrated and he's well on his way to breaking Man utd's all time scoring record despite playing mostly and excelling in the number 10 role for majority of his career.
-
Ok got you but personally I would argue aguero, Van Nistelrooy and Suarez belong in that conversation as well.
-
Let me make sure I get this right. Are you in anyway suggesting, Henry, who's arguably the greatest player in premiership history only had two world class seasons or season comparable to prime Rooney under his belt?
-
I'm never polite to pricks. If you were someone that commands such respect, then sure.
-
You can kiss my ass. prick.
-
As he should. I will have it as kane, sanchez, aguero and hazard in that order. I can't remeber a more impressive and spectacular breakthrough/debut season in the league's history. Not even shearer 1992 premier league debut season was this good.
-
Just raid the french league for players like fekir, lacazette, moutinho et al. Their premium exports rarely flop and often do well in the epl
-
I have maintained throughout the season that he's better and far more talented than Costa. His all round play is a delight to watch. Just what you need in a modern day striker. Him, Aguero and Giroud are the stand out strikers in the league in terms of overall package and quality for me.
-
Aguero,Kane and Giroud are the top 3 strikers in the league this season. They have been as deadly as Costa (if not more) but with the added benefit of being light years better than him in terms of technical ability and all round play. If Sanchez is considered a striker (which he isn't imo) he's obviously above him as well.

I'm willing to bet RLC will not start any game in the lague next season and he will be lucky to start some COC games at best and might be used as a time wasting tool at the end of some league matches. He's basically getting the Christensen minute next season anyone expecting a manger like Jose to trust youth in meaningful games is on a different planet. I'm fairly confident that as long as Jose is in charge, we will not produce another John Terry. i.e a youth promoted and fully integrated into the first team and playing regularly. I will be glad to be prove wrong though.
-
From his press conference today 'Next season Ruben Loftus-Cheek will be competing for a first team position. At the moment we are protecting him" Protecting him from what exactly?
-
Swift doesn't have enough hype for that. It will probably be Boga or Solanke's turn next year. I'm predicting lots and lots of champagne at next years unveiling/academy day. It would be an occasion to remember. The only question now is whether any of them can flourish in a park the bus system

You said it yourself, kevin was 5th on the pecking order behind oscar, mata, willian and schurrle right from the start. It would have been well within any ambitious players right to leave. Ultimately though, it boils down to the manager: how highly he rates a player and the willingness or unwillingness to rotate the squad more often and efficiently. If jose really wanted kdb to play, he would have received more game time than he did. Thats the bottomline. I do agree that kdb didn't cover himself in glory with his performances in the coc though.
