  1. I wish I was as confident as you are. These are the types of games I worry about. Teams we should be far too good for but who raise their game to ridiculous levels far beyond what they normally show.I'm much more loose and stress free before the big games because I know our boys will be well up for it. Against these I feel like our players sometimes think they can just show up and win based on their talent alone.
  2. Anyone else expecting a lazy and frustrating start? Think this'll be one of those first halves where we see a super grumpy José on the sideline who will have to light a fire under our guys at halftime. Hope I'm wrong and we smash them. I actually want to sit back and enjoy watching Arse v United stress free which I won't be able to if we drop silly points or lose.
  3. Yeah, the Varane rumor needs to die. Zero chance of him leaving Madrid.
  4. Reus strikes me as the kind of ambitious player who wouldn't move from the club he supports just for money. For that reason I'd rule out PSG. I think he moves to a club who plays in a top league for a side that's ready made and stable which has conditions to win everything straight away. Can't see him joining a "project" or a side in transition. When you look at the teams that would normally be in for a player like him there are a LOT of things that go in our favor. -Bayern have world class players in his position and he would'nt fuck over Dortmund like Götze did -Real Madrid have absolutely no space for him -Barca has the transfer ban and even without it they have Suarez, Messi, and Neymar -PSG are in FFP trouble and play in a shit league -Man United surely wouldn't buy another super expensive attacking player and will strengthen their defense That leaves me with 3 feasible destinations: Chelsea, Man City, and Arsenal. Only reason I even put Arsenal in there is because he'd have a lot of German mates. At the same time, though, they have Sanchez and Walcott already in wide positions so you may be able to rule them out. Ourselves and City can offer similar incentives in terms of squads. He'd slot in seamlessly and make great sides even better. We have a much better manager, a ready made and stable defense, and the glamor of London on our side, though. It really would be the perfect transfer. When a player as good as Reus can be had for relative peanuts you have to act. It would be a Lewandowski-to-Bayern esque deal. Our attack would seriously be unstoppable. Just imagine Hazard and Reus on the wings with Costa in front of them and Oscar and Cesc behind them. Good lord!
  5. Good that it doesn't seem too serious. Nice that he and Diego will get a nice recovery period. I'd consider giving him even more by resting him against West Brom. Ramires and Matić should be enough to see them off at home.
  6. My goodness, Spuds are fucking dreadful!
  7. Hazard's only real weakness showing today. Needs to see one go in to restore his confidence in front of goal.
  8. Keep playing the way we are and we should win. Just have to hope José hammers it into Oscar's head that he needs to step it up. Maybe even play with two strikers up top with Oscar coming out.
  9. FUCKING CLOSE THEM DOWN!!! Waltzing straight through our midfield.
  10. Fuck sake. Every time Can and Sterling get the ball there isn't ANYONE near them.
  11. Surprisingly not nervous at all for this one. Usually shitting it before a huge match like this but I'm confident that our boys will be well up for it and make the gulf in quality count. Let's be honest here, if we play as well as we can this Liverpool team can't compete with us. Need big games from Costa, Cesc, and Oscar especially in my eyes. Not concerned about Hazard since he has one of the worst fullbacks in the league on his side so I'm sure he'll be effective. Cesc can't allow himself to be completely shackled like he has been in the other big games.
  12. The gulf in class and quality between our sides is massive. On paper, if we made 5-6 changes we still have a stronger team than they do.
  13. Schürlle left out of the squad completely. Damn, José!
  14. Johnson and Moreno as their fullbacks. There's where we can win the match, as atrocious as Andrehas been, this would be a good time to start him since he usually raises his game in these huge matches.
  15. Had a look over on RAWK and I don't think I've ever seen a midtable, shithouse side so confident before. All the more reason I hope we completely dominate them and if we do manage to go up by 2-3 goals I want José to instruct our guys to run up the score. I want to mentally fucking scar those cunts for the rest of the season just like we did in that game last year.
  16. Sneaking suspicion that the referee will have a huge say in this one. Most likely in Liverpool's favor. Hopefully Eden is in "killer" mode like was against Maribor because if he is there'll be nothing Liverpool can do to stop him. I can already predict that they'll flood the midfield in an attempt to take Cesc out of the game. Really can't predict what Rodgers is going to do here. Surely he isn't foolish enough to deploy Stevie G in a 2 man midfield? If he plays 2 up top we'll outnumber and dominate the midfield so I don't know if he'll do that. The only thing that really makes sense for me is for them to play 4-3-3. I think we'll almost certainly see Ramires start for us. ------------------Costa------------------ Hazard---------Oscar----------Ramires -------------Cesc-------Matic------------- Azpi--------JT---------Cahill---------Ivanovic ------------------Courtois--------------------
  17. Unlike most people in here it seems, I'm actually pretty confident. Can't see us losing this one. Draw, maybe, but I can't see us losing.
  18. After Arsenal, Liverpool is the side I most want to absolutely humiliate. Disgusting, vile supporters and club. I hope the players and manager want to step on their throats and completely blow them away this weekend.
  19. Brilliant start, brilliant at the end, worst we've played all season in the middle. I fucking KNEW Hazard was gonna miss that. Just knew it. He was unstoppable in open play but just couldn't finish to save his life today. Roll on Liverpool. José will certainly light a fire of unheard of proportions after that shocking display. We may not see Andre again for a while.
  20. Dominant and fantastic start and then we've turned to complete shit.
  21. Schurrle and Drogba have been absolutely atrocious. Wtf has happened to Schurrle!?
  22. Assuming Costa is near 100% I think we'll destroy Liverpool. If RM were more clinical with their huge amount of chances they'd have won 6-0 today.
  23. Modric and Cesc are equals in my opinion. Cesc is definitely better than Thiago Alcantara.Mata also WAS better than Silva when at his best for us.
